-Lakaers Office- There was a few moments silence before Lakaer said "...Elaborate", Nuvai perked her wings slightly as she continued "What we're looking at is a way to actually re-engineer the riftskipper, using some of the prospects we gained from the corrundians on stabalization, to help create a new version of the riftskipper specifically designed to pierce into this...Void between spaces. Effectively shunting our ships outside any known dimensional boundary" Lakaer just interupted to ask "And I assume this theory has been explored to assure any vessel could return?" Nuvai tilted her head a little answering "Erm, in theory yes, any vessel that pierces in would still be anchored to this reality, and thus able to return. In practice it should hold as well bar any extreme stellar event, but that gets into areas of scientific knowledge we are actually lacking on." -Que- >Construction 2x Ta'Malr Farseer Platforms (102/175) 1x Ta'Malr Farseer Platform (48/175) 55x Black Sky Pattern Mining Outpost (24/45) 12x Tek'Harl Platforms (17/50) >Shipyards 30x Mak'Vara IV (24/51) [15 standard shipyards, 15 battleship shipyards] >Research Torpedo Design (43/45) Riftrider (3/80)

==Malsuth Prime== Specialist Noval's sweat stained his uniform's undershirt a dark gray rather than the it's normal light gray. He finished his four kilometre run as one of the fastest in the platoon - 9:35. He stumbled over to the edge of the track and threw up in the grass along with a few other trainees. He had given all his energy to make sure he wasn't disqualified or marked down as a shitbag during the test, and it was showing. However he was quickly brought back by SFC Tehai shouting at them. "You want to be a fucking Tracker yet you're going to leave shit behind? Pick up the fucking vomit, put it in your god damn pockets! You don't leave shit behind unless you want to get fucking killed you stupid fucking shitbag!" They all quickly knelt down and scooped up the former contents of their stomach, slipping it right into the pockets of their uniform. Noval only laughed lightly to himself, thinking about how hell had begun yet they weren't even out of inprocessing.

Aruin hurried through Telnaris's door, "He's here," he said, "they're setting up in Hall 37B, it's on the second floor so we had better get going." he stood to the side of the door, waiting for Telnaris to exit the room before leading him towards the elevator. On the way down the hall they would pass one of the IFFS representatives, a Draian, although he didn't speak he bared his neck to Telnaris and Aruin in greeting, but he quickly moved on, obviously in some kind of a hurry.

Hilia looked at the Admiral who had spoken, looking almost amused, but after a moment it turned into a scowl, "Lock him up!" she barked, immediately two of the guards leaped forward and grabbed the Admiral, punching him in the gut and dragging him from the room. "Anyone else?" the Chancellor demanded, staring at the other, shocked Admirals. Her question was met with only silence, "Good." she said, "Now, begin the evacuation." as the Admirals hesitated her scowl grew deeper, "NOW!" she bellowed and the Admirals quickly began moving.

-Ikara- "Ah, then thank you for that. I'll see to it command is updated" Fisar gave a slight nod before saying "Well, as there is nothing more to cover I'll head back to my ship for now. Hopefully this will be the start of a, interesting, trade relation" With that Fisar turned to head out, planning to simply head back to his shuttle before returning to orbit. The Malzis during this time would simply have been sitting in orbit, it's sensors being extremely noticeable as even in passive state they were still sweeping most of the surrounding space around it, taking in careful detail of what all was in the system. -Que- >Construction 2x Ta'Malr Farseer Platforms (103/175) 1x Ta'Malr Farseer Platform (49/175) 55x Black Sky Pattern Mining Outpost (25/45) 12x Tek'Harl Platforms (18/50) >Shipyards 30x Mak'Vara IV (25/51) [15 standard shipyards, 15 battleship shipyards] >Research Torpedo Design (44/45) Riftrider (4/80)

Zolin looked up, hopeful that someone from the ship had come to pick him up, but his gaze turned sour as he glared at the nurse. Was death so routine for them? "Big. Diverse. Our medical facilities are not as advanced." Zolin watched as the nurse waited for something more. "Am I able to leave? I very much wish to return home. My experience here has been... view changing." The amount due held no weight. It did not matter if 55 Matrius would buy lunch or a house, Zolin hoped he would not linger long enough to be made to pay it. If he must, he wondered if the Malsuth would accept collateral. The garment of a priest was worth a fair sum in materials and workmanship alone.
Ikatl had never experienced mind control first hand before, but recalled a lesson on the subject from his military training. To put it bluntly, there was nothing he could do until his assailant was done with him. He would sit back, relax as best as he could, and buckle in for the ride. The whole experience was similar to a dream, vague shapes and objects coming to him through the haze. He would remember what he could; if he survived, it would form a fantastic testimony against the Malsuth.
-Achol-
It was time to finally survey what had been won from the Zealots. Much to the surprise of the inspection crews, the captured battlecruiser was almost totally intact; including the shields that had proven impossible to overcome through conventional means. In addition, it is discovered that the vessel lacks any identifiable FTL drive. The most reasonable explanation would be that the ship relied on some outside factor for superluminal capacity. After repairs and refits to a suitable weapons loadout, the battlecruiser would find a key role in the Republic's navy.
The two disabled, and still Zealot occupied cruisers were a different story. Scans and examination from a distance suggested the ships inferior in almost every way to the destroyers already in use by the Celestial Republic. With no naval use, it is decided to starve the Zealots out, and once safe, attempt to reverse engineer any impressive technologies from one, and turn the other into a museum ship.
=Saji=
The brief respite that the Arthans gave the final surviving Saji corvette was only time for the ship to accelerate. By now, interception with the frigate was almost guaranteed; especially when factoring in the limited ability of the marines to change their course after being released from the ship. Considering the velocity sufficient, the order was given to exit and prepare for interception. Several dozen Saji in power armor left the interior of the corvette, climbed aboard it's hull, and hurled themselves towards the approaching Arthan frigate.
=Uncharted System=
The strange, color based writing of the cryptic aliens seemed to be akin to the "tone" in some more complex languages of Corrundian minorities. Many words are found to share the same glyphs; but the color of the involved glyphs differed. It appeared some effort was made to standardize the color tones, as only four are identified. Green, yellow, red, and infrared. The fourth infrared tone, which had been lost to UNITRANS, seemed the most responsible for the lack of meaning in many of the alien transmissions.
In their time observing the battle, nothing strange had happened to the Corrundian hyperdrives. Though it would be safer to know for sure, it was unlikely that the assumed FTL interdiction systems had an effect on hyperdrive. As for doctrines, general practices by the factions at war were easy enough to identify. The cryptic Far Star Ones followed a somewhat conventional strategy utilizing close-ranged ships and, with the arrival of the long-range laser platforms, some sort of ranged support vessel. The size of ship they utilized seemed to fit within the Corrundian navy's definition of destroyers, cruisers, and battlecruisers. Curiously enough, it appeared that the Far Star ones kept most of their ships distant from the fight; as the interdiction systems began to fail, more and more of their ships began appearing in system.
Latesi Interstellar utilized a strategy that some observers may compare to a "carrier doctrine". They fielded several large, battlecruiser sized vessels that appeared to control vast swarms of strikecraft that harassed the enemy. They also made use of a long ranged support ship, in the form of a frigate-sized missile craft that contributed to the battle with the occasional volley. By far the strangest aspect of the corporate navy were large ships, pushing the limit of the battlecruiser classification, from which a handful of frigate-sized attack craft detached. These large parasite carriers also seemed to be the source of the FTL interdiction system.

==Malsuth Prime== Ushered back inside, the trainees were ordered into a small classroom. Each taking a seat, SFC Tehai stepped to the front. "I am Sergeant First Class Sehai Tehai. Behind me are Staff Sergeant Ohran Tebak and Staff Sergeant Peltnam Hotai. We will be guiding you through the Segai Range. If you cut corners or cheat at any of the events, we will pull you out. If you fail any of the events, we will pull you out. If you decide to quit, we will pull you out. Does everyone understand?" A quick shout of "Yes sir!" by everyone in the room. "First, however, we will be going over what equipment you will be issued for your time at the Range. Everything you brought with you will stay here and you will get it back when you leave the range. If you make it through TAQ, anything issued by your old unit will go back to them - we issue our own equipment here." He finished speaking as he started fiddling with a laptop, plugging it in to start a quick presentation on what will be issued to the trainees at TAQ. ==UN-866== "Just give me a few moments here. I just need to make sure nothing here goes wrong. So what are your hospitals like? Certainly they have to be more interesting if they aren't as advanced as you say." The nurse said as he wrote a few numbers onto a chart and compared them with an average of Xioatl's records. It was partially medical and partly research, but either way it was important to make sure that the nanite treatment took properly. Though what Ikatl was seeing was under Xioatl's control, his mind - for the moment at least - wasn't. After a few seconds in the black a figure would appear that he could quickly identify as Xioatl. Wordlessly the scene changed. It was a Midyan village - surrounded by fields, the roads between the houses unpaved. A few individuals walked down the road, one towing a handcart behind them filled with grain. "Come." Xioatl led Ikatl down the road where the sound of a hammer started out as a dull noise but grew louder and louder until they reached the door. "After you." ==Orchak== Telnaris stood and followed, letting out a deep breath. He attempted to nod at the alien, but lost his chance almost as quickly as it came. As he stepped into the elevator he asked. "So who all am I meeting with today, again?" Fisar's escort would follow him back to his shuttle which, if they had accepted it, would have been refueled during the meeting, the sun had gone behind a cloud the wind seemed slightly colder than before, but other than that the city was the same. The Malzis would have had a large amount of sensor data to sift through as Ikara was arguably the busiest system in Federation space, countless shuttles were constantly ferrying back and forth between the two main planets of the system, the Cruisers in the system would have remained mostly unchanged though a group of 5 Cruisers would have left the system while Fisar was on the planet, heading off towards Mantara.

"Senator Poluck," Aruin said as he pressed the button for the second floor, "he's been assigned by the Chancellor to act as a liaison between the Embassy here and the Senate in Tronjal when it's not in session." The elevator quickly moved up the second floor with virtually no detectable acceleration thanks to smaller versions of the inertial dampeners built into it. Aruin would lead the Malsuth through the halls of the Embassy to Hall 37B, an Arthan guard was standing outside the door, nodding to Aruin he opened to door for them to enter.
"They're docked!" Wolven shouted out, "We're ready to go!" "Get us out of here!" Iria barked. Moments after several Saji marines reached the closest ship the two Arthan frigates would vanish as quickly as they had appeared, reappearing much closer to the star, next to the Envisiak-Class frigate. "I think we're in the clear..." Wolven said, Tiva spoke up from her station, "Iria! several of them managed to latch onto the Tsari!" Iria cursed, 'of course they did' she thought, wracking her mind she was silent for a moment, "Tell them to head back to Orchak." she said, "The slipstream time dilation should buy them enough time to get there before they can do any damage. Send a message back to command before we jump, let them know what to expect." Shortly after the hyperspace jump the Tsari powered up its slipstream drive, speeding out of the system back towards IAR space, leaving a bright trail of light behind that quickly dispersed, followed about 2 minutes later by the other two frigates leaving identical trails behind them.

-Ikara- Once Fisar was on his shuttle and back to the Malzis in orbit, a rather short and uneventful trip, he would have the Malzis relay the information needed for the trade agreement. In turn they awaited what information was to be transferred to them, along with the fact the Malzis itself was still waiting on drive cool down before it could leave again. -Horra- With the meeting having seemingly ended Kasik had almost reluctantly gone back to his dropship to return to the fleet. While this was ongoing one of the higher ranked officers of the ground forces would send a request over to the corrundian forces along these lines "We have men that are bored as hell thanks to the trip here, grumpy the zealot bastards didn't put up half a fight, and lugging around enough ordinance to level a mountain side. You have anything you need us to do? Given we've got a while before we have to load back up" though with the specific tone used it sounded less like a request and more of a thinly veiled attempt to find an excuse to blow something up, though even a cursory glance at the manifests available would show there was a considerable amount of manpower available. -Que- >Construction 2x Ta'Malr Farseer Platforms (106/175) 1x Ta'Malr Farseer Platform (52/175) 55x Black Sky Pattern Mining Outpost (28/45) 12x Tek'Harl Platforms (21/50) >Shipyards 30x Mak'Vara IV (28/51) [15 standard shipyards, 15 battleship shipyards] >Research Gen IV Railguns (2/45) Riftrider (7/80)

==Malsuth Prime== The presentation was quick and was followed by them being led to the armory. Issuing weapons and equipment was tedious, but everything was pre-planned and issued out quickly. Specialist Servek took his equipment and quickly found a place for everything either in his hands or on his back. A new set of armour, a new rucksack filled with equipment and rations, and a new firearm were among what was given. Quickly shuffled between rooms, the trainees were urged to hurry up and wait at every step of the process - though the only thing left for them to wait for at this point was their lodgings so that they could continue the next day of inprocessing. -Queue- (Ship Construction: Shevek-Class Heavy Fabricator: 10/18x60; Heral-Class Heavy Destroyer: 6/25x5; Toilsen-Class Point Defense Destroyer: 6/25x30) (Ship Construction Queue: Hosel-Class Light Carrier: 1/25x15; Salep-Class Light Cruiser: 1/35x25; Salar-Class Heavy Cruiser: 1/35x15; Hallo-Class Heavy Carrier: 1/35x11; Ishra-Class Point Defense Cruiser: 1/35x20; Imvek-Class Josel Shell Fabricator: 1/5x35)

Two data bursts would be transmitted to the Malzis about 15 minutes after Fisar returned to the ship, the first one contained an updated version of the IFFS star charts, but once again only showing the border, not actually giving any useful information about the interior systems. The second data burst contained two items, the first of which was a compilation of the IFFS copyright laws, the second was a comparison of the value of a Federation Credit with several common and valuable materials such as gold, copper, and iron.

Once through the doors they would come upon a large wooden table with some basic decorative carvings along the edge with several chairs stationed around it, the room was lit by two ceiling lamps and 4 windows along the back wall. One wall had an Arthan flag hanging from two pins, on the opposite wall was a holographic projection of the Malsuth flag, this was usually changed based on who was using the room at the time. In front of the Arthan flag Senator Poluck was talking with his aid who was sitting, typing on a small handheld computer. As they entered the senator glanced their way, motioning for them to come in he said to the aid, "-and make sure to copy it in triplicate afterwards." turning to Telnaris and Aruin he said, "Well, now that you're here, let's begin shall we?" he motioned for Telnaris to sit while Aruin backed out of the room. Senator Poluck didn't sit himself, instead he opened his briefcase and began pulling out several files, "Now.... Telnaris, right?" he asked, then without waiting for an answer he continued, "Chancellor Hendail is going to be sending an ambassador back to Malsuth space to establish an embassy, but that will take time, so for the moment we'll have to conduct all interactions here."

"We just received word sir," Admiral Yondur looked up from his desk, "they've captured Chancellor Hillia and the Regrinor fleet is ours." the Captain said, his feathers rustling slightly with excitement. Letting out a sigh of relief Admiral Yondur scratched the side of his beak, "So it's over," he said, straightening up, "I'll let the President know, tell Colonel Emmert to begin securing and ground forces that try to put up a fight, but to avoid any collateral damage, the last thing we need right now is for a civilian revolt."

Zolin thought, and decided on what he felt was a succinct, descriptive answer. "Invasive. Medicine, tubes, surgery. No miracle cures, yet." Zolin came to the realization that the nanites the Malsuth used would remain inside of him, until whatever natural processes his body went through expelled them. He was carrying an example of nanotechnology that was just theoretical in the Republic. "Do these nanites remain inside the patient forever, or do they get excreted?"
This was new to Ikatl. He had heard of mental control and suggestions, and was experienced with both verbal and visual telepathy. He had never imagine he'd be subjected to a combination of both at the same time. It was like a virtual reality simulation, but using his own wetware. He didn't have much choice in the matter. What he was instructed to see, he would see.
-Achol-
Repair and refitting efforts would take place using the available facilities in-system. A few Prisms, chosen due to their powerful engines, were tasked with towing the battlecruiser and what salvageable Midyan warships there were to shipyards in orbit of Tlipacapici. The whole affair, taking place at slower than light speeds, would take days at least.
=Saji=
As soon as the twenty or so successful Saji marines found themselves clinging to the hull of the frigate, they found themselves whisked away. Pressed close enough to undergo the effects of faster-than-light travel, the boarders found themselves disoriented and dazed. Unaware that superluminal travel existed, the boarders had seen the bending of space and several blinding flashes. Assuming it was some sort of defensive anti-boarding mechanism, they sluggishly searched for easy points of entry; turrets, airlocks, anything that a Saji could fit through.

-Lakaers Office- It wasn't long after Nuvai left a knock came on Lakaers door, he grumbled a little before saying "Come in". The door opened as Skrattle slowly walked in, giving a slight look around the office as he moved up to the desk. Lakaer just looked at him for a few moments before saying in a rather plain tone "Do you realize just how long you, your ship, and your team have been missing?" Skrattle shrugged slightly saying "Not really? We kinda got lost and started jumping all over, so...time dia-" Lakaer just growled as he interrupted "I don't want excuses, you left before the zealots even arrived, your late to current events, and from the records left you and your team were suppose to be doing surveillance on the Vorskel. Yet even when they vanished you took HORRENDOUS time to finally arrive here, even when other ships in their territory had already returned!" -Que- >Construction 2x Ta'Malr Farseer Platforms (107/175) 1x Ta'Malr Farseer Platform (53/175) 55x Black Sky Pattern Mining Outpost (29/45) 12x Tek'Harl Platforms (22/50) >Shipyards 30x Mak'Vara IV (29/51) [15 standard shipyards, 15 battleship shipyards] >Research Gen IV Railguns (3/45) Riftrider (8/80)

It had come time to finally install the warp interdiction device in each of the under construction Smoke-class vessels. The process, attended by a panel of scientists and engineers who had overseen development, prototyping, and the assembly of the first series of production models. Carefully manipulated by the large, robotic arm of a waldo unit, the corvette sized mass of heatsinks and radiators found it's place at the heart of a partially complete Smoke-class destroyer. Securing it would be a difficult, precise process. The warp denial devices were even more anomalous than the warp drives they attempted to jam, and the factory that had produced them reported cases of routine things going wrong during their assembly. A bolt intended to temporarily would melt, workers would feel excruciating pain but leave with no injury, nonmetallic objects would float away from it. There was a shared, unstated belief from each of the attending experts that with enough eyes on the strange contraptions, everything would go fine.

They were now tasked with moving the battleship and the dreadnought. Three made their way to Bandit Echo, while the other four set up around Concord. They extended their towing-class warp rings and joined to form a huge ring around each. Carefully their RCS jetted them to the right attitudes to reach their respective destinations. Concord was going to Rendezvous Point, and from there straight to the homeworld. Bandit Echo, on the other hand, was heading for Battlezone. Mekvaris had asked for an example of Zealot technology. Space Marshal Na'Zao presumed an entire battleship would be enough. TURALANARAY, HORRA SURFACEAra'Kow's body language shifted to show she was crestfallen at being unable to help. Cai'Ral came trotting up behind her. "Representative? I believe we're packing up to leave now. You should really get back to the lander frigate." Ara'Kow conceded the point, and made farewell gestures at both Cai'Ral and the Imperial Marshal. Cai'Ral then turned to Shazirath. "We're returning our fleet to Mera. But we have a fast reaction force under construction to replace it, that should be fully mission capable within a few months. If the Zealots return, you know you can call us any time." MantasACHOLLee'Ra had mixed feelings when he heard the report of what the Midyans had decided to do with the two cruisers his squadron had disabled for them. He had assumed the Midyans would use the cruisers to support their recently mauled fleet, and in that sense adding two combat capable cruisers for the cost of one hunter-killer would make it obvious that Night-Terror's destruction was not in vain. The plan to scrap one cruiser and convert the other to a museum, then, seemed like a slap in the face. But Lee'Ra had time to think about the situation more, and he slowly convinced himself that his initial reaction was wrong. Whatever the Midyans chose to do with the cruisers was irrelevant, when his mission had just been to remove two threats from the battlefield. And in terms of an entire space force, two cruisers wasn't really that much firepower at all. Industry had been working on a great number of them back when Nightmare had still been stationed there, so perhaps breaking one cruiser up for usable technology (that would be of wider use in future than a single warship) and keeping the other as a memorial to those lost in the Battle of Achol - including Night-Terror - wasn't such a bad idea after all.

Uncharted System.
The observation of the situation continued uninterrupted as the battle between those two powers continued. Traditional guns and steady advancement of forces versus refined carrier tactics. Quite a sight, if it weren't so violent. In the meantime the comms team continued looking into the particular dialectical implications of each color in the Farstars' writing.
Horra.
The Marshal was slightly caught off guard by the Ra-noth request, but promptly gave his opinion as much as he gave the League:
"As I told the Leaguers I feel it is in the Empire's best interest to not maintain alien troops on the planet for very long. A lot of hurt people are probably going to not be very receptive towards your troops, I feel. Trust me on this. "
He turned back to the League officials.
"Of course. Fly safely, we already have enough craters here. We will more than make due on our own."
That said, the time to actually get back to Astrakhan himself and secure the Emperor was drawing near. No doubt the Emperor would be pleased that his capital planet and home has been recovered... and annoyed that his palace is a shell of its former glory.

==Orchak== "That is fine by me. I am pleased to meet you and even more pleased to finally establish contact with your people." Telnaris said, taking a seat at the table. "I see you have a few things for me? Or are those for other business?" ==UN-866== -Hospital- The nurse's head darted between the screen he was looking at and the papers. "They remain inside of you for... I believe the generation you have is at a century? After that they'll need to be replaced - they self-replicate but at a slow enough pace they eventually die off. Did I mention you'll have to eat more? Get a bit more iron in your diet - you'll need it." He marked down a few more numbers before continuing. " Xioatl's nanites are always a generation behind - hard to custom tailor nanites. Always a bit news-worthy in the journals when they make an improvement on his, even if we never get to use them. You know?" He set the clipboard down on a nearby table and spoke into a collar-clipped radio. "Can someone come get these documents and get them translated? We need them to discharge the diplomat." Another nurse quickly came into the room and retrieved them as he pulled up a chair. "So that'll be a few more minutes - sorry about that. We just have a lot of information to process." He sat down by Zolin's bedside and leaned back. "Surgery is something I've dabbled in - had to do it when I was a combat medic. Nothing too invasive, just dealing with shrapnel and bullets. Have you ever had an actual surgery performed on you? I know my grandmother did before I was born. It's kinda fallen out of fashion for us, though." He chuckled a bit. "I bet you can guess why." -Xioatl's Mind- Opening the door, a young Xioatl was standing inside. The sound of a hammer grew loud as nothing muffled it as a teenage Xioatl hammered away at the shoes of a beast - he was born a ferrier after all. A scowl formed on Xioatl's face. "It's amazing honestly. I remember this day as clearly as if it was yesterday - five hundred years ago. I was fourteen. Just turned, actually. Father was out, had to get more iron from the market in town a few days away. One of the most important days in my life though. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for today." He laughed lightly to himself thinking about his family as they watched the young Xioatl hammer away at a red-hot U of iron. He was using a large hammer and needed a smaller, finishing hammer. Reaching his hand out to 'grab' the hammer as a joke, the hammer flew about a foot before the young Xioatl nearly jumped into the forge. Xioatl gave out a little 'heh' and turned his head to Ikatl. "We aren't telekinetic - you said so yourself. There were always stories back then about deformed heretics able to move things with their mind through the power of evil that came and quietly took naughty children in their sleep right out the window or legendary kings and priests of yore that possessed great abilities lost to time, but they were always just that - stories." The young Xioatl looked at his hand for a moment then looked up, focusing on the hammer, sending it flying into the edge of the forge and startling him again and sending the hammer flying in. The young Xioatl looked over the edge of the forge and into the fire with a sense of confusion, bewilderment and fear that even Ikatl could feel if he had the slightest shred of empathy. -Queue- (Ship Construction: Shevek-Class Heavy Fabricator: 11/18x60; Heral-Class Heavy Destroyer: 7/25x5; Toilsen-Class Point Defense Destroyer: 7/25x30) (Ship Construction Queue: Hosel-Class Light Carrier: 1/25x15; Salep-Class Light Cruiser: 1/35x25; Salar-Class Heavy Cruiser: 1/35x15; Hallo-Class Heavy Carrier: 1/35x11; Ishra-Class Point Defense Cruiser: 1/35x20; Imvek-Class Josel Shell Fabricator: 1/5x35)

"5 parsecs a day?" Chancellor Galvas asked incredulously, "that's incredible, and you say it's just a prototype?" Armelia nodded enthusiastically, her eyes gleaming with excitement, "Yes, we think we've only just scratched the surface of what's possible in terms of speed through jump space," she said, "theoretically it should be possible to go as high as 6 or even 7 parsecs a day, we just don't know how yet." Galvas shook his head in amazement, "That is truly amazing," he said, "I'll have to stop by the department later to congratulate your team on a job well done!" Armelia blushed, "Thank you, sir," she said, "but it isn't quite all sunshine and daisies." Galvas raised an eyebrow, "The drive can't access jump space from just anywhere, it needs a point where the boundary between our space and jump space is weak enough to 'punch' through." Armelia continued, "A Jump Point is a natural point in space where this occurs, but anywhere else it simply won't function. Now, we have been able to get around this somewhat, we've found that by emitting a specific frequency at very high levels into subspace we can weaken the layer between our space and jump space. Now, the range on this is very limited, probably a hundred kilometers or so, and it only remains weakened so long as the frequency is transmitting."

The trip back to Tronjal from the Saji home system took about 6 days at full speed, but for the Saji and the Arthans on board the frigate the trip seemed to only take just over two minutes as hours to the real world passed as seconds to those inside the slipstream currents. During this time the Saji would find several turrets and one of the docking ports, the turrets were well armored and they would probably have more luck getting inside the ship through the docking port, but before they were able to do much more that prepare to breach the bright light surrounding the frigate vanished, replaced by the dim light of stars as well as the much brighter light of the sun. The sun was on the opposite side of the ship so the light from it was mostly blocked from the view of the Saji, but there was still light enough to see the shape of the battlecruiser sitting a few kilometers away, accompanied by several corvettes, frigates and a carrier, all awaiting the arrival of the Saji.

This was notably longer than it had taken to set up, because of all the detritus of soldiers who couldn't find refuse bins, and to ensure that no military equipment was left behind when the transports pulled out. But once everything was confirmed to have been squared away, the landers ascended back into orbit, to join the rest of the fleet. The damaged LAN vessels had all still had operable faster than light drives, otherwise they never would have escaped the Zealot ambush. Since reaching safety, their self-repair systems and engineers had been active 24/7, and the result was that they would all limp home to reach a spaceyard where real overhauls could fix them up. Four days after the Battle of Horra, MOC Task Force One departed the system for Rendezvous Point. MantasACHOLTo take his mind off the attack, Space Commander Lee'Ra left his executive officer in command while he went to the observation deck. Once there, he input his credentials and opened the blast shields. As they folded open, he perceived the changes in the glass as it compensated for the amount of starlight. He let himself relax in zero-G while watching work proceed on the Outland stations, with a planet far below giving its own beautiful vistas. Time passed, but he barely noticed, the calming views sapping away the stress of command. He didn't even notice as over the course of an hour, one by one, several other crew members joined him to see the panorama. "To Night-Terror", said a crewman softly, drawing Lee'Ra's attention, before emptying a drink pouch. "To Night Terror," the Space Commander repeated. "An intrepid ship and courageous crew. It was an honour." he finished quietly, though in the silence of the room everyone heard. They all made their affirmations in their own ways.

-Ka'Sorin Forces- While the departure of the LAN didn't register much note for the Ka'Sorin forces, which for the most part were waiting for general fleet maintenance to wrap up along with working out preparations for the return trip, such as how to get the captured battleship home, and ensuring the riftskippers among their own ships lost were properly destroyed. It was little over a week after the LAN had left that Kasik would be brought to attention at the incoming signals of riftskippers, something that within two days time revealed itself to be a series of 15 Mobile drydocks, Zos'Vara class, that had been dispatched some time prior to recover things. This would augment the time schedule of Ka'Sorin forces, with the drydocks being tasked to disassembling the battleship into sections that could be hauled home by the drydocks, along with performing some quick maintenance on vessels. Before the end of a month though the Ka'Sorin forces would begin the route home bar any interruptions. -Que- >Construction 2x Ta'Malr Farseer Platforms (109/175) 1x Ta'Malr Farseer Platform (55/175) 55x Black Sky Pattern Mining Outpost (31/45) 12x Tek'Harl Platforms (24/50) >Shipyards 30x Mak'Vara IV (31/51) [15 standard shipyards, 15 battleship shipyards] >Research Gen IV Railguns (5/45) Riftrider (10/80)

==Malsuth Prime== -Orbit- Rear Admiral Jalhen Falni looked over the readouts in the CIC. He was given command over a tiny fleet - two Assault Corvettes and a Heavy Frigate. It wasn't much but it was all that Command and himself judged as needed for exploration. Five were being sent out to patrol around the borders of Malsuth space. Space beyond the borders of the Republic was never well documented, and with first contact made with two alien nations Admiralty and the First Minister judged it time to begin compiling a more detailed list of what is out there. Falni's helmsman spoke over the intercom. "Fleet is ready to enter warp - it'll be a few days before we're out of the borders though." Standing at the projector in the CIC, Falni pressed a button and spoke back. "Enter warp. I want to get this mission underway as soon as possible." -Camp Othai- Every trainee was asleep as soon as they were showered up and groomed. Two weeks in the field awaited them after another day of inprocessing - this was the last day of comfort any would be getting for awhile. Nothing much really happened as everyone slipped into a deep, dreamless sleep in preparation for hell. -Queue- (Ship Construction: Shevek-Class Heavy Fabricator: 12/18x60; Heral-Class Heavy Destroyer: 8/25x5; Toilsen-Class Point Defense Destroyer: 8/25x30) (Ship Construction Queue: Hosel-Class Light Carrier: 1/25x15; Salep-Class Light Cruiser: 1/35x25; Salar-Class Heavy Cruiser: 1/35x15; Hallo-Class Heavy Carrier: 1/35x11; Ishra-Class Point Defense Cruiser: 1/35x20; Imvek-Class Josel Shell Fabricator: 1/5x35)

-Ka'Sorin Forces- [Warning: Sloppy as I don't feel like doing 5 posts of 'the fleet travels'] As the Ka'Sorin navy moved along on the route home, the riftskippers screamed out their massive wake as they normally did. Their trip would bring them such that the massive wake would hit Irktara, Kardot, Industry, and Aeo Auru, simply for their proximity to the path the force would take. 42 Battleships and 39 Cruisers would be the initial count of this fleet, though as the riftskipper was, this would not remain. On the first jump, from Horra to a point not to far from Kardot, the Herasi, Palis, and a Sak'Skar cruiser would be torn apart from various malfunctions and problems with their FTL drives. By the end of the second jump a Sak'Toras, Rak'Skar, and Sak'Skar would be added to this tally. The third jump bringing them around Aeo Auru would see the end of Six Rak'Skar cruisers, victims of what appeared to be a mid-FTL collision from forming up to close, only added to by the loss of a Sak'Skar cruiser in the same blob of debris. Reaching the end of the 4th jump and preparing for the final jump home would in turn see Another Sak'Toras, Four more Rak'Skar cruisers, and a Sak'Skar cruiser torn to pieces. That was when the fifth and final jump home would spell the last of the damages. Four Sak'Skar cruisers would be lost on the way there, as riftskippers strained under repeated failures from being pushed for to long a distance. This wasn't even the worst of it, as the fleet finally arrived in Arkedeer an almost Shotgun like effect would startle most of the crews with a few captains practically freaking out, the size of the debris field of this shotgun blast exiting FTL could only be determined as one thing, one of the Rak'Toras vessels. As the fleet slowly began to regroup and determine what had happened the realization dawned on them which of the grand warships it was that had been lost, The Hosom, identified simply when the captains quickly noticed the absence of their admiral's orders, in an almost vain hope parties were launched to survey the debris and hope there were survivors, which when the remaining derbies were no larger then a chair, proved rather unlikely. -Que- >Construction 2x Ta'Malr Farseer Platforms (110/175) 1x Ta'Malr Farseer Platform (56/175) 55x Black Sky Pattern Mining Outpost (31/45) 12x Tek'Harl Platforms (25/50) >Shipyards 30x Mak'Vara IV (32/51) [15 standard shipyards, 15 battleship shipyards] >Research Gen IV Railguns (6/45) Riftrider (11/80)
