[Vathar]Stars faded as the sun’s light washed over the horizon. A constellation passed the terminator in the heavens above, structures of steel growing outward from glistening lights, fading into the dawn as the station traveled ever onward. Blackness turned to blue as the sky grew crimson, colors emerging slowly from the monochrome. A glistening red shape entered Gaius’ peripheral vision, accompanied by a crisp snap and the sound of chewing. “Though you would be absent for the internment, Numerius didn’t want you to miss the feast, humble as it is.” Triarius motioned to him with the apple, giant hand clutching the fruit without so much as denting it. Gaius took it, turning it over in his hand. “I appreciate it, but I’m not really hungry.” “A man goes a thousand years without eating, and yet claims to feel no void in his gut?” Triarius laughed, raising his left hand to his chin, bearing a bitten apple. More chewing, though no signs of a mouth. “Eat, Gaius. If not for your sake, then for the sake of the lost.” Gaius looked at his own apple again. Strangely, the thought of eating brought nausea instead of the usual want. He shrugged. The unease faded soon after the first bite, and before long the apple was reduced to its core. “Quite the appetite, for one so reluctant.” “It must’ve been my nerves. I’ve not had much chance to rest, these past few days.” He turned the fruit’s core over in his hand, the flesh of it stained pink, instead of the natural white. “I buried the last of my grandchildren just a few weeks ago. I haven’t thought about it since I woke. For you and the others, it’s been centuries since that fateful time, and I was immersed in that feeling. But now that I have time to think, I remember how soon it was for me. Despite that, grief has been fleeting.” “Perhaps you are merely one of strong will, Gaius. Yet the pains of the soul are oft linked with the pains of the body, a sense you seem to lack.” “Were that I so lucky. I’ve felt sore since I woke up.” For emphasis, he flexed his arms, only then noticing flecks of blood on his hand, arranged about the apple. He wiped his mouth with his free hand, fingers coming away stained red. Suddenly, he became aware of swelling on his tongue, though it appeared that the wound itself had closed. “I must’ve bitten myself, without noticing.” “Indeed. I’ve been watching you since your arrival, Gaius, and you have behaved quite strangely.” “Have I?” He paused, thinking back. “These three days have been a blur, but then, so has everything. It’s almost like a fog over my mind.” “I suspect Adrianna was still in the process of finalizing your reconstruction, as it were. She likely dampened your senses for the procedure, to keep your mind from being overwhelmed. This will have to be remedied; you will need to be in top condition for what lies ahead.” “Adjusting to new implants could take months, Triarius. My condition could take years.” “Conventionally, yes. Though I suspect Marcus will have a solution; we cannot afford to delay any longer.” Triarius looked to the horizon, the sun now blazing over it, rising towards the morning clouds. “With dawn, the time of mourning has ended. Now, we can begin. Come.” Research Light-based Processing 17/40 Nanomesh Processing 4/45

Taking the opportunity to make sure no one would pre-empt the LAN, Ara'Kow gave her input. "First, Bandit Echo should be retained by the MOC on the basis of salvage rights. MOC forces had captured it, after all." She stopped in order to gauge the attitudes of the other attendees. When satisfied with her observation, the Representative continued: "Second, we would like to claim the derelict dreadnought jointly with the Corrundian Empire, that we might repair, refit and return it to service in defence of our two nations. We each have technologies that could contribute to making it a force to be reckoned with, and it would represent a strengthening of the bonds between us." The pitch made, she waited expectantly for Marshal Shazirath's response. MantasINDUSTRYThe science department's next project is an extension of the previous one - further improve the potential capabilities of destroyers. It will take some time, but there are no plans for new destroyers on the horizon. In fact, with no immediate threat to the Mantas' territory, construction has slowed significantly. The opportunity is being taken to properly train all crews, and avoid the serious problems that inexperienced personnel can cause. The new automated cruisers are proving very useful in this regard, but they themselves have only recently come to full usability.

-Ka'Sorin Forces- Kasik took to a slightly more serious posture once the Tal'Ryth representative had arrived, though he did take fair heed to position his fore claws in a slightly more withdrawn position. With the pitch they gave he quickly added in "To add to matters, it is in Ka'Sorin command's interests to retain the battleship we boarded." Kasik turned his attention just slightly to look directly at the IAR representative as he continued "However, to that extent there is no reason to contest those claims on the dreadnought" In his mind he knew the dreadnought was fairly valuable, but would be extremely difficult to substantiate a solitary claim on, let alone try to bring back to home territory. -Que- >Construction 2x Ta'Malr Farseer Platforms (97/175) 1x Ta'Malr Farseer Platform (43/175) 55x Black Sky Pattern Mining Outpost (19/45) 12x Tek'Harl Platforms (12/50) >Shipyards 30x Mak'Vara IV (19/51) [15 standard shipyards, 15 battleship shipyards] >Research Torpedo Design (38/45) Powered Armor units (28/30)

Dominion of Ekrilt Kri-Tar system
Defensive measures are taken as soon as the Relay network detects the incoming vessels and determines their point of origin and likely destination. There is some debate in Command as to whether or not a defensive fleet should be scrambled, but ultimately the call is made to abandon the Kri-Tar system with only minimal defenses remaining in place. A few PT squadrons are to be left garrisoned, and nothing more. Of course, the question remains if the troops in-system will be able to be evacuated before the Ra-Noth forces arrive.

Admiral Resmali nodded from where he stood, leaning on one of the surviving structures, "We'll also be pressing our claim on the battleship we captured," he said, "though we were able to capture several Zealot officers, and while we will be taking them back to our space for territory, if we learn anything useful from them regarding the Zealots we will share it with the rest of the Coalition." Admiral Tori refused to even glance at Kasik when he spoke, though she did say, "We would prefer to keep the battleship we liberated from the hands of the Zealots, though as for the dreadnought, have no interest in it currently."

Upgrading existing jump drives proves to be a matter of replacing some parts, increasing the power capacity of others, and replacing the control firmware. These can be carried out fairly easily by battlecruisers with the materials they have on board, while smaller vessels need only visit a space station. This should not require a full refit. TURALANARAY, HORRA SURFACEMOC Spaceforce hadn't been sitting on its hands while Horra was liberated. It spent the hours surveying and cataloguing the wreckage of the battle left in orbit. As a result of this, Cai'Ral received a message on her PDA. She excused herself from the proceedings momentarily in order to read it. After doing so, she gave Representative Ara'Kow the short version. Ara'Kow mulled over the idea for a few moments before apparently deciding it was a good one. She turned back to Marshal Shazirath. "We have another proposal. The MOC will have a number of construction spacecraft available in the near future, which could be used to construct a drydock complex in the Horra system. The drydock would be tasked with repairing and refitting suitable wrecks. This could provide the Empire with a defence force for the system while its navy is rebuilt. This effort could benefit from the same technology sharing programme as the dreadnought." She borrowed Cai'Ral's PDA and offered it to the Marshal. "A list of the candidate derelicts," she explained. It showed visual images with important statistics next to them, translated into Corrundian for his benefit. MantasINDUSTRYThe Shadow class frigates and Marauder class destroyers are marshalled, their crews returned from shore leave. Having spent some time personally looking over the reports from the heavily fortified system, Circle Glider had seen not a danger but a golden opportunity. A trial by fire for the fleet's new stealth forces. Mantas did not do speeches. She simply disseminated the orders and expected them to be carried out. Once the vessels were assembled, they maneuvered as one, until they were all pointed at the same spot in space. They activated their FTL drives, and disappeared from the Industry system.

Horra.
A lot was now going through Marshal Shazirath's spongy, feather-and-scale-coated brain. Coalition members laying claim to the battleships they had seized, and now the League's plans for the rest of the scrap floating about. He would be silent for several seconds, looking over the League PDA and his own communicator. Reports had come in from orbit that inspection officers were suited up and ready to tour each of the main derelicts. It was necessary to verify their suitability for being hauled around; they'd be no good to their claimants if they couldn't be hauled back to their space.
"An interesting plan, but we have matters to attend to first, after all. My men are ready to inspect the vessels up for arbitration, namely the battleships. Given the lack of interest in the dreadnought from the more distant powers, the Empire will assume ownership of it and, as with the battleships, ensure its space-worthiness for a trip to appropriate mooring in preparation for refit. Unless some issue comes up in orbit, the inspection teams should be done with their jobs quite quickly. That is of course also unless they find something that would compromise the hulls in transit. "
The inspections would involve a two-stage plan. Step one was to sweep the exterior perimeters of each hull to ensure that one, the ships were still there, and two that they more or less were intact from an outer plating perspective. Step two would involve getting verification of a serviceable internal structure. It was anticipated that the second step might require more time than the first, for fairly obvious reasons.

-Ka'Sorin Forces- Kasik grumbled slightly at the fact he knew inspections would delay things, giving statement "We can stand by for a month at most, for inspections to happen, and for initial refit or repairs to be done to hulls." He paused for a slight moment before continuing "In regards to surveying of the battleship our forces have secured, our engineers would be well capable of providing an internal sweep for you if it would accelerate the process." He did give some attention to what the Tal'Ryth had stated, saying "Depending on what your meaning by drydock...I may have a cruiser that could use a check over it's FTL drive before we would depart here, but I'll hold that for later discussion" -Que- >Construction 2x Ta'Malr Farseer Platforms (98/175) 1x Ta'Malr Farseer Platform (44/175) 55x Black Sky Pattern Mining Outpost (20/45) 12x Tek'Harl Platforms (13/50) >Shipyards 30x Mak'Vara IV (20/51) [15 standard shipyards, 15 battleship shipyards] >Research Torpedo Design (39/45) Powered Armor units (29/30)

The Marshal was quicker to respond now that he had taken in all the latest intelligence. He looked directly at Kasik and spoke.
"Alright. If your men can aid in the process it will make this a fair bit less difficult and less lengthy, too. It will still take some time, even though we have multiple teams on hand to inspect all of the craft at once. Alas, making business fun is still something that eludes us all. Maybe we will have to settle for some sort of diversion instead. "

"Any further inspections of our captured battleship are unnecessary." Admiral Tori said, "My engineers have already done a sufficient check of the ship's structural integrity and we will be transporting it back to Tronjal ourselves before repairs are enacted." glancing at the Marshall she added, "That should free up a good number of your teams so the process goes faster for the others."

Horra.
It had become quite evident by now that this whole charade of a meeting was merely a waste of valuable time and perhaps also resources as well. For those who were willing to perform their own inspections the Marshal requested reports, for the sake of record keeping. Meanwhile the inspection teams were redirected to handle the direct inspection of the League battleship as well as the dreadnought. With such concentrated manpower it was expected the process would take no more than a few hours at worst.
The report from the IAR was received quickly and it proved quite clean. Their ship was deemed able to make the journey back to their space and could be hauled as soon as they had the necessary mobile infrastructure to do so. The Ra-noth's inspection was a fair bit harder to palate, mainly due to the wantonly destructive tactics they had used to clean out the ship. While there was no reason to question effectiveness, their ability to cover up a mess was certainly in question. For all the blood and guts though, their ship's hull was as good to go as anyone else's and they would ultimately get approval to start moving it when they could.
The real time-spender came in the form of the direct inspection of the League battleship and the dreadnought by Imperial inspection personnel. Even with all the teams having been diverted to two ships, their labor was meticulous and to-the-centimeter kinds of accurate, especially with the Dreadnought's joint claim status in consideration. Once their deck-by-deck checking of every potentially exposed surface and key structural points was complete their reports would come in to the Marshal and League fleet authorities. It was time to get these vessels mobile as well. They ought to make the journey, as well as hold up enough when subjected to whatever higher strains the Leaguers were silently worried about.
Meanwhile there were a lot of foreign soldiers left to get back to their own homes. There weren't many festivities to have them enjoy anyway, merely a scarred world with a lot of people who needed to reassert themselves on their own shoulders. That they would, and that they would do in tandem with their allies, but for now the militant presence needed to go. Not to mention the charred throne which needed filling with its rightful ruler.
R&D.
The R&D apparatus still in exile on Astrakhan completes another technological advance for the Imperial Navy. The efficiency of shield array systems has been improved markedly and now more array nodes can be smashed into the same generator. The benefits for the Navy are obvious, but other applications for defense have also been looked into.

==UN-866== As Zolin looked over the forms he would eventually come to the bill. Everything - from the room to all of his treatments showed 0, fully covered by Malsuth government insurance. The nanite treatment, however, was marked as a remaining cost of 55 Matrius - a trifling sum for anyone in the Republic. While he was reading through it, a nurse would step into the room. His soft shoes barely made a noise, but his voice did. "So you're our second Midyan patient. You don't look too much different from Xioatl - though I've only seen him in the vids. What is it like back in your nation?"
-At the docks- Xioatl stared Ikatl down for a moment then raised his fist, his elbow bent at 90 degrees. A shout rang out behind them as their captain shouted "Fall in!" The Trackers hidden throughout the perimeter of the dock area came into view. Their combat boots clattered against the floor as they moved into formation. "Twenty rank, column formation - move!" More pattering of boots followed. "Close formation!" They shouldered their rifles and another command was shouted. "Forward march!" The body of Trackers started out along the service road, marching across the 8 kilometre long habitat.
Xioatl lowered his arm and shifted his position to parade rest. "Apologies for that. I didn't know what to expect when you exited your ship." As soon as Xioatl finished his sentence, Ikatl's vision went black. Though it wasn't the blackness of unconsciousness - rather he was fully aware. There was light, but nothing but a grey haze in the distance only broken by flecks of light. There was ground that was distinguishable due to it's pitch black color, no haze or light breaking it up. Moving would do nothing to his body, which held it's current posture. Xioatl was acting impulsively, but he justified it to himself - he was just as Midyan as them and he was going to see Xiochil again.

-Achol-
The grenade blast showered the Midyan occupiers with shrapnel and knocked a few to their feet, no doubt dazed and bruised under their armor, but failed to shock the defenders as much as the Zealots would have liked. The final attempt by the Zealot defenders to retake their CIC would be a failure, driven back by equally determined Midyan marines with their variety of weapon calibers. The Zealot defenders, now disorganized and encircled by the Midyan boarding force, would no doubt fight to the bitter end; an end that came soon. The devotion of every Zealot and their desire to fight to the last man resulted in the death of every single Zealot crew member, a death toll in the hundreds. Meanwhile, the Midyan boarders had taken a very high number of casualties, at least one hundred, but a comparatively low fatality rate owing to their advanced armor. Weeks of preparation, a brief but brutal few days of combat, and the Celestial Republic was victorious.
Elated civilians across the Republic tuned into a special state news program, detailing the overwhelming success of the Republic's armed forces against the heretical invaders. Special attention was payed to the almost immediate defeat of the Zealot's navy, and hours of combat footage on board the battlecruiser during the boarding action had been edited down to highlight the more heroic, competent moments of the Midyan marines. A reporter walked through the now quiet halls of the ship, narrating as wounded marines still on the ship were treated and evacuated, and the bodies of the Zealot defenders were collected.
The navy had learned a few important lessons at Achol. The unshielded Prisms were almost totally useless against larger ships, possibly even useless against other destroyers with shields. Every Prism I and II would need to be replaced by the new, shielded Prism III. The devastating effectiveness of the Atlatl was only reinforced, and orders for dozens more of the missile ship had already been placed.

"Ah, I'm sure whatever diplomatic needs I need to tend to won't be that bad. I'll leave the prolonged, agonizing stuff to the guys who pick up where I leave off," Teyolatl replied. "I'm sure I'll just be confirming that no, we don't plan on invading and killing you all, and no we don't intend on supplying your enemies with sophisticated technology. How long will it be until this qualified person arrives on station, hours, days, weeks?" Teyolatl asked. "I wouldn't know how fast your nation is capable of preparing and launching something that can carry passengers."
-Gasmon-
At the reply of the Fenelis, Itoyah found himself flushed. He had been a little grandiose, hadn't he? And his assumption about the name of the Fenelis civilization had been a little naive. "Err, apologies about my greeting. I was making sure I checked all the boxes," he said. "On the topic of your gate network, I don't know any more than you do. One day it worked, one day it didn't. Many of the systems I've found suffered a dramatic drop in quality of life after it's failure; I assumed you may have recovered some sort of FTL capacity, judging from your prosperity. I've got a hunch that I can find out more about it's failure the closer I get to the core of your empire, which is why I'm so interested in getting there."
-Arkedeer-
"Generalized! Perfect," Eren exclaimed. "I've got a wide variety of wares, I wasn't sure what you Ra-Noth," he paused, considering if a holographic personality could be included in the grouping 'Ra-Noth', "would be interested in buying. Anyway, I think I'm comfortable enough to continue from here. Thanks again," he concluded before departing. Now that he knew what he was looking for, his allotted space was easy enough to find. Sure enough, it lay at the end of the path of symbols he had followed, indicated with a sign in the IFFS codex.
It was somewhat bare, Eren thought, he'd need to bring in some examples of his wares to display. He drew a small radio from his pocked, tuned into his freighter's frequency. He turned it on, satisfied that the channel didn't happen to be one the station seemed to use, and brought it to his ear. "Hey, Eren here. Got in fine, unfortunately they're not fans of our narcotics. Could you send Katala over with some samples? Y'know, fabric swatches, some pictures of the animals we've got on board, displays for whatever games and movies we're peddling? She'll find me no problem, they've got this great AI. Better than one of ours, floats around as a hologram, I'd like to see if I could buy a few."
=Saji=
As expected, the Saji corvette broke apart into debris. Now, without a commander, the other two were up to their own devices to bring the fight to the barbarians. The marine detachment of the first corvette had effectively been wasted, throwing themselves at a ship that was now accelerating faster than they could keep up with. However, the sudden appearance of two barbarian vessels within a few hundred kilometers of the surviving two Saji corvettes was, in the minds of the Saji on board, some expression of the power the Primarchs had on worldly affairs. The targeted corvette stood no chance; the shields failed and it fell to pieces. A few disoriented, disorganized marines already in power armor tumbled out of the debris, slowing themselves so that they could hopefully catch the frigates as they passed.
The second surviving Saji corvette flipped itself so that the engines were oriented anti parallel to it's current vector, and performed a burn that would have liquefied the crew if it were not for the advanced, protective fields the Saji had in place for such a maneuver. It moved on a course to intercept the two frigates, as marines hurriedly donned power armor. It was expected the corvette would not be long for this world; however, if the marines were properly prepared, a last second exit would no doubt ensure their interception of the barbarian frigates.
=Uncharted System=
After some poking and prodding of the data available for the invalid colors, the AGI would find that they were originally intended to display as wavelengths reaching into the long-range infrared. The mystery was nearing a solution. The [FAR STAR ONES] put a premium on color in their communications, and saw heat. It would take a creative translation effort, but the language could be deciphered. Neither party in the battle raging party still showed any overtly aggressive behavior towards the Corrundians. However, the fortunes of those involved in it seemed to be changing. The strange subspace emissions, now thought to be the work of some variety of FTL jamming technology, were waning as the [FAR STAR ONE] vessels slammed against the Latesi lines and destroyed targets. Soon afterwards, several large ships were detected leaving warp, thousands of kilometers from the heart of the battle. To arrive on such a moment's notice meant they must have been hiding light-minutes or light-seconds away. They were large laser platforms, judging by the alarming rate of ablation on several of the largest Latesi Interstellar vessels. One of the larger Latesi vessels was destroyed, and for a moment one of the clouds of strikecraft that had been acting with such efficiency paused all action, drifting, as though connection had been lost, before returning to normal combat operations.

"That's a good point," Fredrin said, "we might also need a separate registration system, though how it'll work depends rather heavily on how our copyright laws work." tapping his fingers on the desk he continued, "I'm hardly qualified to explain how we handle intellectual property, but I should be able to have a data burst with a thorough explanation sent to your ship after this meeting, and we can work out the details of the system once we have a better understanding of eachother's copyright systems."

"They're moving to intercept us," Wolven said, "but it looks like we've their first wave of boarding units." "How long will it take a second wave to launch?" Iria asked, "I doubt we'll be able to maneuver out of the way in time at this distance." Wolven shook his head, "A couple minutes?" he said though he was clearly guessing. "It'll have to do," Iria said, "tell that shuttle to dock as quickly as possible and prepare the hyperdrive, I'd rather not have to deal with boarding parties." The Arthan shuttle would move to intercept the closest Arthan frigate which slowed down to match the shuttle's speed, the ships' weapons were trained on the Saji corvette though they didn't open fire, hopefully it would give the Saji enough pause to get the shuttle docked and get out of there.

Uncharted System.
Seeing as they were presently being left alone, the Third Carrier Task Force was able to continue adopting its standing policy of observing this engagement. Tactical personnel were in fact taking notes as quickly as new sensor data got to them. It was considered a good "just-in-case" measure to see and record the doctrines and firepower of potential opponents, not to mention the interdiction systems that seemed to be at play here. Their effectiveness or lack thereof against hyperspace engines would need to be verified through tests and simulations sometime... hopefully not a field test though.
Meanwhile the success in determining the invalid colors as lower EM spectrum emissions and beginning to crack the syntax of these strange enigmatics was still a taxing effort. Converting energy emissions into words was more akin to signalling with nautical flags or flares than actually speaking verbally and this apparent observation would have to be applied fully to translation efforts. While a workable compromise was being created the situation would remain monitored.

The LAN was even able to extend the radiators and power up the reactor. Like all other Zealot battleships seen to date, it had no FTL drive of its own, but if it had then it could probably make its way to Battlezone on its own power. But it didn't, leaving towing the only option. As for the dreadnought, its hull was in terrible shape and most of its systems were inoperative. The computers were wiped entirely after Na'Zao had ordered the entire thing swept over by proton beams until they could be sure nothing living remained on board the wreck. But despite this, most of the structure was still intact, and the parts that weren't could be repaired - ironically, by using parts of the very LAN battlecruisers it had helped destroy. The dreadnought would make it to the waiting spaceyard slip in Tayal orbit. TURALANARAY, HORRA SURFACEAfter taking the time to observe the sheer destruction from the roof of the Imperial palace, Representative Ara'Kow was deeply affected. She felt that something must be done to help. Looking at Groundforce soldiers shifting rubble around into neat piles for later disposal, she realised the tools to do that were right here. It didn't take long to find where Marshal Shazirath was at, and when she arrived, she gave him a proposition. "I believe the LAN's ground forces can assist with at least some of your reconstruction. In the spirit of goodwill between our peoples, I offer our labour." MantasIRKTARAThe research team moves on to their next project, involving how to make plasma weapons more damaging. ACHOLWith the fighting all over but the crying, Space Commander Lee'Ra sent the order to the pair of constructors that they were to continue their work on the Outland 2-B stations. Accepting the command, they stood down from battle stations and set all their construction equipment to operational status. Meanwhile, Nightmare limped off to tend to its many wounds. Rents in the hull. Smashed point defence turrets. A communications array was bouncing off the armour as it waved back and forth hanging by its data cables. Many internal systems had failed and life support was spotty in several areas. Self-repair and the engineers would cover it. Despite the strategic victory, the crew wasn't feeling too triumphant. Lee'Ra realised it would be his job to set an example for the crew to keep them doing their jobs. Feeling rather down himself, he expected that would suck mightily.

==Malsuth Prime== "Feet on the line, get your shit at your feet!" Was shouted at the assembling mass of soldiers. Disembarking from the multiple shuttle craft was well-ordered chaos. Quickly forming three ranks in front of the Tracker Training Center at Camp Ohtai, the 200 men and women were eyed over by the cadre. Separated into five platoons and assigned officers, Major Seva Yoteli stepped to the front. "You're all Soldiers - you made it through BIT. You're all qualified Infantrymen, Combat Engineers, or whatever the fuck you are. So the rules are simple - if you quit, you're out. If you fuck up bad, you're out. If you act like a shitbag, you're out. The 15th Tracker Regiment doesn't need you. Every TAQ cycle is fully occupied and we run four every year. You aren't shit, you're easily replaceable. So you want in? You better give us your best." She paused and looked over the candidates, her dress uniform almost immaculate as if to show that she was a better soldier than every candidate in the room.
"Platoon Sergeants take control of your platoons and move out to administer TAQ Inprocessing." She saluted as five sergeants snapped their feet together and saluted in response. The second her arm lowered and she fell out, they moved to the front of their units and began barking out orders. The platoons moved inside the TTC to begin what veteran Trackers describe as the worst two days of TAQ.
==Orchak== Telnaris nodded Aruin off and said "Thank you for letting us know." before he sat at his desk. He rested his head over the back of his chair, kicked back, and spun as a way to relax as he finished typing a short report. He was slowly getting used to the Arthan world. His arrival was a flurry of emotions for him - awe followed by discomfort, elation followed by horror. He waited in silence for the Arthan senator to arrive.

I can likely have my vessel transmit what we have though" Fisar said, shifting his wings slightly as he said "This has been a solid talk for the most part. I do have to request that we break for now, there is enough here that I will need to cover with Ka'Sorin command itself. I do hold hope that given what we have covered that command will accept the trade deal, perhaps with some revisions." -Ka'Sorin territory- With the completion of power armor development for the moment, a fairly extensive demonstration of power armor was being done for Lakaer, partly at the behest of Sarin who was trying to convince Lakaer for having dedicated marine contingents on all vessels instead of just the new battleship plans. While this was happening the colonization efforts in Ki'Vora and Vr'Vora were finally bearing fruit as a number of colony centers had been set down that were finally getting permanent foundations down instead of temporary structures. -Que- >Construction 2x Ta'Malr Farseer Platforms (99/175) 1x Ta'Malr Farseer Platform (45/175) 55x Black Sky Pattern Mining Outpost (21/45) 12x Tek'Harl Platforms (14/50) >Shipyards 30x Mak'Vara IV (21/51) [15 standard shipyards, 15 battleship shipyards] >Research Torpedo Design (40/45) Powered Armor units (30/30) [Completed]

Roughly 11 minutes after Aruin left Telnaris's quarters Senator Poluck's convoy pulled up in front of the embassy, after a few Arthan guards stepped out the Senator himself exited the limo, taking a moment to straighten his suit collar the Senator walked briskly up the stairs to the front of the Embassy. Aruin was waiting in the doorway, "Welcome, Senator, I trust you had a good trip?" he said, his back unnaturally stiff as the Senator approached, "Yes, yes," Poluck said, waving a hand slightly, "pleasantries aside, are they ready for me?" Aruin nodded, "Yes, they're settled into their rooms and waiting for you." Poluck handed his briefcase to his aid who trailed just behind him, her eyes wide with obvious excitement. "Take this to the meeting hall." he told her before turning back to Aruin, "I assume we're still using Hall 37B?" "Yah." Aruin replied, then after shifting a moment he said, "I'll go make sure they know where to go." Poluck rustled his antennae in amusement, "You do that."

The Admirals in the room winced as Chancellor Hilia cursed loud enough to cause those closest to her to cover their ears in pain, Admiral Yondur's plan for the Magnara forces was working to perfection, the Regrinor fleet had been routed with all but a few ships being destroyed or captured, only five frigates remained and they were being pursued by a large number of Magnara vessels, bent on preventing them from escaping. "Prepare for evacuation," Hilia snapped, "we'll meet up with the Ovian and make for the inner belt, we still have a few of their strongholds, we can hold up there until we come up with a new plan." one of the Admirals stepped forward, "Chancellor," he said, his voice pleading almost, "we can't come back from this, they completely decimated us, we should surrender and sue for peace."

Regardless of how the representatives from all the other races had left or stuck around the Marshal and Guards Commandant had not gone far at all, opting to continue taking in the serene destruction in the relative discomfort of their improvised plastic chair and table seating arrangement. When the Leaguers had another proposal to offer he gave it appropriate attention.
"That might be useful, but I doubt the effectiveness of the impression armed aliens will give to the people. Even if they are rebuilding homes and lives, many are going to have scars related to the Occupation and the most desperate would probably get in your way. ==Malsuth Prime== Specialist Sovek filed through her paperwork. She stood in line, ordered by platoon, and waited for what was hours but felt like days. Every few minutes someone finished their inprocessing paperwork - and so far out of the 27 people she counted, five had been disqualified due to paperwork errors. Finally she stepped up to the kiosk. Sliding her papers over the counter the man behind the counter took them and disappeared. As the minutes ticked by, a heavy sense of dread pooled in her stomach before he came back. Sliding a PT card across the counter, she was motioned into the next room to fall into formation with the rest of the platoon. After another two of waiting in silence, First Platoon was ready. Their Platoon Sergeant, Sergeant First Class Seahi Tehai, turned and shouted. "Route-step march!" and directed them into yet another room to see who arrived to TAQ in shape and who needed to be sent home.
==Orchak== Taking a deep breath as he waited, Telnaris continued spinning in his chair. He sat there in his uniform, which was just a standard Malsuth Army dress uniform and was worn by most of the diplomatic staff. At the end of the day they were all still soldiers after all like everyone in the Malsuth government. Letting his breath out he waited for something to come over the phone, intercom or the door to open.

-Lakaers office- "So tell me again what this is?" Lakaer said as he looked at a holographic display of data that seemed completely scattered to him, Nuvai, the individual in front of him, simply said "I've been working with information on the riftskippers, from all the sources we've had research on, and it appears there seems to be something more to the riftskippers, an entirely different functionality then we've previously understood" Lakaer just stared at Nuvai before saying "Speak clearly" in a harsh tone, Nuvai just shied slightly with her wings drooping before continuing "There is simply put, a Void, a true space between spaces, that we've only had cursory knowledge of. What I'm bringing forward is a discovery that may let us completely redesign the riftskipper systems to escape the instability problems by reworking the drive around this new understanding" -Que- >Construction 2x Ta'Malr Farseer Platforms (101/175) 1x Ta'Malr Farseer Platform (47/175) 55x Black Sky Pattern Mining Outpost (23/45) 12x Tek'Harl Platforms (16/50) >Shipyards 30x Mak'Vara IV (23/51) [15 standard shipyards, 15 battleship shipyards] >Research Torpedo Design (42/45) Riftrider (2/80)

==Malsuth Prime== "Halt!" SFC Tehai shouted. About-facing to face the platoon, which was now facing one of the PT Test stations - a simple mat and pull-up bar, he pointed at first squad. "First squad here." Doing the same for the other three, he shouted out another order. "Testing soldier take your station!" Four graders knelt down to grade the test - two minutes of simple push-ups, sit-ups and pull-ups. Quickly going through each member of the platoon, it wasn't long before it was Sovek's turn. Taking her station she was easily able to max out and go beyond the required standards like everyone else. The test was tradition for TAQ inprocessing, rendered useless by both the incredibly high active-duty standards and nanites. Another route-step march outside led them to a track for a four kilometre run which was over almost as soon as it began - even the slowest soldier in the platoon finishing at only 10:49.
