Akhim was a pretty cool guy, and well regarded as the greatest Ferros in GC. He was really my 'main' character in GC, until he got thrown into a sun. There was a lot of OOC bullshit being flung between Con and Max, which is why he was in the situation where he could be thrown into a sun anyway.
Malrak would like a word with the great light in the sky, for in but a single moment, the heavens were set alight in a firestorm as his existence became but a shadow on the wall somewhere. For upon that day those that held the power within orbit had looked down upon this meager world, what they saw offended them and as such they unleashed from the heavens above a weapon that would forever change those that fell victim to their wraith. At least its said that Malrak is dead, for because the bunkers beneath the city were never investigated, we shall never truly know if he had died with the blast or not.

"Cry, the beloved country, for the unborn child that is the inheritor of our fear. Let him not love the earth too deeply. Let him not laugh too gladly when the water runs through his fingers, nor stand too silent when the setting sun makes red the veld with fire. Let him not be too moved when the birds of his land are singing, nor give too much of his heart to a mountain or a valley. For fear will rob him of all if he gives too much." - 'Cry, the Beloved Country', Alan Paton
