[+Species Sheet+] -Name: Glædwine -Physical Appearance: The Glædwine are a race of Plant like creatures, They have a main body consisting of a thick fiber core covered in moss underneath and leaves on top. The body is Feral in posture with Four limbs, a tail and a head. The Four limbs consist of a thin segmented fiber core, covered in a thick growth of Bark from which covering of leaves grow on. The limbs end in Six tendrils somewhat similar to roots. The tail is long and covered in plates of bark, at the end is a large blob of tightly packed roots. The head itself is on a long neck that extends from the body, the underside of the neck covered in moss while the topside covered in bark.
The head itself bares no eyes and is shaped similar to that of a deer's head. Two panels of bark form an almost protective shield at the sides of the head. the head itself being covered in a thick dark moss, the only decorations being a brake where the mouth is and a brightly colored leaf on the forehead. Finally the most remarkable trait they have is four massive fibers on their back, Which when spread out leave a remarkably light and durable moss between them. More awe inspiring still is the ability to actually Fly using these massive "Wings", though something that is rarely done for how much energy it takes. Normally though these wings are spread to absorb sunlight for growth.
On Average, the Glædwine are between 7'8 and 9'2 at "Shoulder Height", Between 23' and 27'6 in length, while the Wing structures can extend out to 92' and 110' from tip to tip, rendering them rather Massive creatures in their own right. Weight wise its not unheard of for them to be well over 1000lb in weight, with some members having almost broken a ton. Despite that though, most of the weight isn't "Muscle" so much as raw body mass.

Its taken them nearly Nineteen thousand years to develop a means to go to the stars beyond. Overall though they have only had Four wars in the entirety of their existence. The first was a war over the invention of fire in a less then intentional way, This war, those that see the fire as something to wield and others as something to fear is something that still continues to this day. Though no longer a violent war, it is a strong social divide none the less. The second war was between two powers over who owned a particularly fertile valley, the war itself sparking when one side blamed the other for a wild fire that ran rampant through the valley destroying everything.
The Third and Fourth wars to happen are only wars in name, with no weapons even being drawn against the other side. These wars existing more in philosophy and science then anything else, though the extend of them was large enough to be considered a flat out war. Further dividing the people for some time before differences were resolved. Despite this though, The Glædwine are rather quiet people, with almost nothing remarkable about themselves or their history. The many years of peace and relative solitude enjoyed by the race though has been kind, Allowing them to prepare for changes long before they happen.

[+Species Sheet+] -Name: Celae -Physical Appearance: The Celae are silicon-based life forms, and are thus crystalline in appearance. They are about 7 feet tall on average, and are plantigrade. Their "skin" is made up of interlocking crystalline plates. The plates range in color from silver to a blueish silver, and they have an almost reflective quality to them. In areas where they need more flexibility, such as their joints, the plates are smaller and arranged in ways to allow for more flexibility. They have four fingers and no toes. Their "eyes" are slits in their heads, about the same position as the eyes on a human. The slits glow in a variety of shades, but most commonly they glow a dark purple. They can "blink" by sliding plates over their "eyes". Individuals have varying bioluminescent patterns on their bodies, which are the same color as their eyes. Their chest is made up of several long thin plates, like ribs except with no space in between. The plates can retract. Inside is a compartment where they can place raw minerals. The compartment keeps the minerals in contact with their bodies, allowing them to absorb them. Early in their evolution, they were very flawed both physically and mentally. Eventually, the healthy ones began to develop instincts that told them to cull the unhealthy Celae. This practice continued even after they attained sapience, being as integral to their basic instincts as reproduction. This has resulted in a lot of practices many other races would see as utterly barbaric, such as campaigns of mass extermination against the "Imperfects" and rather dubious medical and scientific procedures in order to try and correct the imperfections. Among these methods are a complicated form of eugenics.
Since developing more advanced civilization, the Celae have always been fairly united. While they were divided into nations, there were minimal wars. 400 years ago, after the Celae experienced a scientific revolution, their technology advanced rapidly, and so did their methods of keeping order. To sate their instinctual desire for purity and perfection, science went "too far". Well, some people would see it that way, but they didn't. They developed the ability to, through complicated technology, alter the structure of their shards as they were growing. Celae shards are the "equivelant" to a fetus, being the early form of a new Celae. Due to their method of growth, imperfections were common. Thanks to technology, though, the structure of the shards could be altered and changed to create a "perfect" and "pure" Celae with minimal defects. Any irrepairably defective shards were culled.
250 years ago, a planet-wide government was established to guide the race. The Celae were always an orderly species, obsessed with keeping control of all situations and all things. Thus the society that was supposed to bring freedom to Karea quickly turned into an authoritarian dictatorship, ruled by the Ordinator. For the Celae, what seemed like a living hell to most species was actually their idea of a utopia. Well, most Celae thought so anyway. About 37% of the population thought differently, and in order to ensure no chaos came about because of this, the government made a few concessions, granting the people a bit more freedom. Everything was at peace, as they slowly achieved their ideal society and their idea of a perfect species.
192 years ago, the Celae sent a manned mission to Karea's only moon, Keos. Satisfied, for now, space travel stagnated for 76 years. 114 years ago, when Karea began to experience ecological problems (including the formation of notable amounts of water, which is acidic to the Celae's silicon based biology), the Celae looked to the stars. They began to colonize other planets in their system, starting with Keos and expanding to their system's first planet, which was able to support Celae life. 67 years ago, they developed the Rip Drive, and used it to expand to other solar systems. They colonized 6 more worlds over the next 65 years, for a total of 8 inhabited planets today in Galactic Year 2287.
Not satisfied with their current territory, the Celaen Order has begun to expand beyond its fairly isolated region of space. They exist within a small group of stars, located in a nebula and isolated from the rest of the galaxy by an expanse measuring 9 light years at its furthest. Easy to traverse with Rip Drives, however they haven't seen a need to until now. Now though, they have begun to send probes beyond the outer edges of their nebula, ready to bring Order, Purity, and Perfection to those beyond. -Total Population: 17 billion -Psi Level: P6-P10 (P10 makes up 2% of their population, while P9 makes up 5.2%. P8 makes up 9.3%. P7 makes up 23.5%. Remaining 61% are P6. P10 and P9 are ALWAYS ELectrokinetic.) +Other: They reproduce asexually after death by "old age". They leave a few pieces of themselves behind, which start to develop into new Celae. They take about 34 years to fully mature, physically at least. Mentally, they mature faster. For the first 12-15 months of a new Celae's growth, they are nothing more than a crystalline rock. They are also capable of reproducing by removing pieces of living Celae and nourishing them so that they grow anew. However, this process is dangerous and cannot be done more than once every 10 years.
If they are to be in temperatures under 15 degrees Celsius for extended periods of time, they require environmental suits. They can survive at a minimum of 10 degrees for a few months before they start to degrade. Ideal temperatures for them are about 60 degrees.

He grew up in the refugee fleet, and joined the Terran Defence Force almost as soon as he was legally old enough to do so. Because of the short lives of the Terraform's escort spacecraft, promotions were rapid. Despite his inexperience, especially in a command role, Aaron was placed in command of a Sneak Recon. The loss of the Terraform along with all he knew and all the people he loved to the Haikovans left him deeply affected; angry and bitter. But with the responsibility of looking after his crew, he kept himself together, and decided on a mission of vengeance.

These modifications were both aesthetic and practical. Alongside the obvious differences in appearance, small numbers of Dralens are capable of interbreeding without suffering inbreeding problems due to gamete DNA randomisation.
After some time, the colony had become a civilisation, with a system of government based on the Roman one, with a Forum and an elected supreme executive (known as a 'Daleon') in place of a Senate and a Dictator, except full time, unlike the Roman system where a Dictator was a temporary position. The idea was to have a strong leader and a democratic government, with both keeping check on the other. After establishing themselves in space, the Dralens met several other minor human powers, and formed the Terran Federation.
Sometime later, the Dralens were forced to evacuate Federation space, and did so as a refugee fleet. After finding a system that was very resource rich, they built the Terraform, a habitation spacecraft. They then formed alliances with more minor powers near the borders of HSD space. Unfortunately for the Dralens, the Haikovan leaders were watching the Terraform with envious eyes. A Haikovan fleet assaulted the Terraform, using weapons that wiped out the crew and population of the habitation ship. Several escort craft and refugee vessels tried to escape, but couldn't spool up their FTL drives in time. 5 LY/day for Warp 1 is a bit too fast. And mas, thats simple, but over time it becomes rather not worth it to stick with warp. It needs some kind of multiplication, like maybe Previous Speed * 1.5 or something?
