The Iseians go with the Warsovian's idea of creating light utility vehicles. Except they go with designing a proper vehicle. They don't try to make technicals. The military starts a competition among automobile manufacturers in Iseia. The goal was to make a 4x4 wheeled light utility vehicle. Several companies accept the proposal and get to work. Meanwhile, the two military companies to the south of Iseia start a defensive line. They start digging trenches along the edge of the isthmus on the border. This is due to fear of the communist threat.

Diplomacy with Faldun having failed, Chevskograd looks to the smaller Russian settlements around it. Several were communist and would likely be willing to ally to join their cause. Messages are sent to all nearby communist settlements, asking if they would be willing to enter into an alliance with the Chevskograd State for the advancement of the communist ideology and the mutual defense of all parties.

The Iseians had made some visible progress on the canal. But it was obviously FAR from completion. Meanwhile the automobile companies keep devising new utility vehicles. It'd probably take a few weeks to finalize designs and make the vehicles.

The cities of New Petersburg and Odessa would accept the offer from Chevskograd. They would both be the states to the west that were bordering Faldun and they would only accept an alliance. They demanded to maintain their own freedom as separate states and would support Chevskograd militarily in conflicts that they fought.

Freital would continue work on their artillery, the parts coming together and the guns themselves functional. Test-fires firing the large 16 inch shells they were designed for would show them to work and having a rate of 2 shells per minute would show they are capable. However they would just be guns alone with no armour and a heavy amount of the imported steel and most of the cost of the guns would be in the armour and casing. Concrete on a turret-shell to give it rotation then coated in steel would allow the gun itself to have a heavy amount of protection and still maintain a 360 firing arc. Slow to turn, it would mostly be for hitting targets several miles out and giving heavy suppressive fire against them.
Domestic taconite mining however would show promise. The bands would be shallow, being right on the top of the stone where they were. Thick as well, mining would be very profitable if the bands continued like this and magnetic scans showed they would for awhile. It was a large deposit and a gold-mine for domestic heavy industry. Excavation over the month would have beared most of the soil covering the bedrock and allowed the first blasting charges to be planted to have the first load of taconite extracted.
Grinding up the first load into fine powder, standard processes would be taken to process it into iron to be used in steel mills. Separating the purer iron ore and combining it with flux then rolled into pellets, they would be blasted and the rest of the iron oxidized and converted to hematite. It wouldn't be as efficient as other methods working with purer ore, but it would still be easy for Freital's steel mills to do and cheaper compared to imports.

A program to recruit men into the Warsovian armed forces begins. It hopes to bring in at least 200 soldiers, to replenish losses from the battle with the Chevskians and to allow for forces to be based in Podstawowy. 300 men had served in Podstawowy's army, but they had been allowed to keep 200 men to act as a state defense force. However, behind all that, the driving reason was to try to outpace the communists.
Avi Baum arrived at the town south of Warszawa, trying to gain entry to the town hall. He was better prepared, carrying a briefcase full of information about the benefits of a federation. Federal infrastructure construction, a larger military, more industrial production, and other positive points.

Freital would send a message to the state southwest of them, Bad Backnag, that would outline the proposals of a German Confederation. It would be a slow to build project and would rely on the cooperation of German states with Freital and the centralization of German territories. When swiftly rejected on April 1st, Freital would mobilize their forces against the small city of 23,000 on April 2ed. Two companies of 200 soliders each, totaling 400 men, would be mobilized. Along with their Leicht Späherpanzer MKI and Hans's squad, along with another squad of 7 would be mobilized. They would cross the border on April 8th, notice of arms being delivered on April 7th.
They would be going up against the milita of the city, 350 regular soldiers, and would be prepared to fight a heavy battle of attrition against them to form this Confederation. Like old Prussia did in the centuries prior, the German peoples would be unified by any means necessary.

Thanks to the wonderful application of diplomacy, The Vlk had been sitting outside of Dalmur for some time now. Blockading the harbor on its own, at first Dalmur thought this was a bit of a joke, until they soon found The Vlk was more then capable of sinking any ship that attempted to leave the harbor. The diplomat that was onboard The Vlk had been stuck in debates with the government of Dalmur trying to find a reasonable solution, at this point though both sides were growing weary of the debate. Most of the argument was not actually stemming from Pustatina's acquisition of Dalmur's harbor, most of the argument was instead coming from the fact Dalmur's government was absolutely refusing to take a 2'10 tall fuzzy diplomat even REMOTELY seriously. This not only stalled diplomacy, but was indeed tempting Lameri aboard The Vlk to just shell the town until they took things seriously.

The new soldiers were becoming more like soldiers instead of civilians. It had been approximately 2.5 months since they were enlisted. Since then they'd progressed through basic training. They hadn't finished it, however. They'd come to appreciate military discipline somewhat. But they needed more time before they were even remotely combat ready.

50 men had signed up for the Warsovian Armed Forces over the 12 days, and were put into training.
Avi Baum presented to the town's government why he thought they should join the Warosvian Federation. The major points were the unity of the military, the unity of the economy, and the unity of infrastructure. Military unity would mean that a larger force could protect the federation from Communist or other agression, though only 30% of the state's military would become federal troops. The state could keep 70% as a state defense force. Economic unity would cover taxes and industry, making Warszawa a stronger state. Infrastructure would improve the quality of life in the federation, providing roads, radio communications, and a possible telecommunications system.
A plan for a cheap, light, aircraft frame is drawn up in Warszawa. It will be constructed primarily of wood, with thin aluminum sheets over it to improve aerodynamics. The use of wood is to save aluminum for other purposes, due to the low development of an aluminum industry.

Trade with the neighboring communist cities of New Petersburg and Odessa has resulted in improvements to Chevskograd's economic state. Looking for more communist allies to stand up to Iseia, Warszawa, and the other nations opposed to them, Chevskograd contacts the northern city of Vankovich, located across the inland sea. They ask if they would be willing to negotiate the terms of an alliance.

The diplomat, sufficiently annoyed with Dalmur's government. Simply radioed the Vlk, a moment after negotiations take a suddenly serious tone as 4 shells, 14inches in diameter, slam into a hill just outside the city and explode. The explosion loud enough to CLEARLY alert Dalmur that the diplomat was being serious enough. With this in mind, Dalmur's government was finally pulling into gear and discussing terms. The current terms, which had taken over a month to finally assemble, are as follows.
Dalmur will delegate harbor control to Pustitina, while maintaining its own government Pustitina will see to integration of Dalmur into an economic chain Dalmur will be responsible for its own military defenses Pustitina will see to military response against anyone who attacks Dalmur
--- In Pustitina, a second destroyer hull is laid down for construction. its expected to be completed sometime in December or January. The reasons for the second destroyer hull being laid down was minor expansion of workshops allowed additional room for parts to be manufactured at.

Avi Baum would be led to a office to conduct diplomacy. It was a sterile, grey room with a metal table in the center. Sitting across from him would be the diplomat to the state of Nilskawitz. He would be a tall, wiry man of graying hair who would wear a stoic expression. He would not tell his name but would merely say. "Welcome to our city. What do you want this day?"
April 10th Friday, 18:43
The city would send a message back, asking for them to prove themselves militarily further before discussing the terms of an alliance. Not an attack, but rather just joint military exercises to prove the competency of Chevskograd's command staff.
April 10th, 2532 Freitag, 19:50
Freital would put in several new projects for their city. Namely four Patrol Boats to establish a Freital Kreigsmarine and two more Leicht Späherpanzer MKI. They would be Jäger-Class Patrol Boats, armed with three 40mm Malthensi Autocannon adapted for naval use. The guns would fire HE Shells and have a 30 shell magazine under the deck. They would also have four Model-105 KUW Light Machineguns mounted on the deck as well. Production would be laid down and production would be expected to finish the hull by June, and the ships themselves completed by August. The Leicht Späherpanzers would be completed around June, the industry for them more easily available and understood by Freital.
Diplomatically, the states bordering Freital to the direct north would be under their sphere of influence while those bordering Koblenz would be under Koblenz's sphere of influence. The states directly south of Freital would either cut ties due to military threat, or be directly at war with them in the case of Bad Backnag. Though the new aggressive stance of Freital would scare some of the states they influence away from allying with them, they would still maintain decent enough terms with Freital to maintain neutrality under most circumstances.
Soon after crossing the border, Freital's troops would engage with the milita of Bad Backnag. The fighting would mostly be suppressive fire volleys back and forth, one side pulling back and allowing the other to push forward. It would be a back-and-forth struggle on the flat plains outside of the city where the Späherpanzer would be able to wreak the most havoc upon enemy infantry. It would be a relatively bloodless skirmish for the most part, with Freital pushing forward to the city line itself. The large amount of farmland outside of the city where most of the population of the planet lived would be affected, but not badly enough to force Bad Backnag to resort to food imports after this conflict.

In the harbor of Dalmur, Pustitina's flag was being raised over the harbor. The Vlk was actually coming in to port to refuel now. The diplomat standing there with government officials to Welcome the Vlk in. Given the terms agreed to, Dalmur was willing to accept things as they were as they would still maintain they're own government. Lameri was just leaning on the deck railing as they came in, shouting out in english "What took so long!" one of the officials, apparently without missing a beat simply responding with "There wasn't enough wine!". The diplomat and other officials simply turned to stare at them...

An appreciable amount of trenches was dug at the western end of the isthmus. The defensive works weren't done however. The soldiers kept working at it. After the trenches were completed, the engineers planned to dig anti tank ditches. They would be deep enough and large enough to stop even an MBT. Though, the trenches took priority for now.

The skirmishes would continue for several days and Freital's forces would push the forces of Bad Backnag back to the city limits. Urban fighting would commence as houses were stormed and taken, firefights erupting in the street. The first few days of combat so far would result in very few casualties on both sides, expected to pick up as they fought building to building. The Panzer would give light anti-building fire in the form of HE shells, being very careful on the streets and relying on infantry support and its maneuverability to keep itself alive.

Enjoying a few crates of wine they had brought along, a few more crates would of been passed out throughout the town. The diplomat from pustitina being the only "offical" at this point that wasn't so mindbogglingly drunk as to be incapable of walking through a doorway. Though the diplomat would be well on their way after a quick review of the agreement with Dalmur

The bomber was nearing completion now. It would only be a few weeks. The Chevskian leadership begins assessing the biggest threats to them, trying to decide who should be their first target. Iseia is close to them and their allies, and reports indicated that they were trying to trench Chevskograd off. They seem like the biggest threat, but analysis will continue.

Colony Sheet
Colony Name: Nova Domus City Population: 47,000 State Population: 360,000 Species: Chekala Government Type: Communism (I think you get what I mean.) Military Size: 780 Date of Settlement: 2370
Species Sheet
Species Name: Chekala Appearance: The Chekala are a race of humanoid, hardened exoskeleton-like creatures, their skin has strong resemblance to demons or dragons in fantasy medieval tales, though of course while they may be hardened people physically, they are still very alike to humans in their physiology. They have digitgrade legs, feet like hooves and both feminine and masculine body types. Their skin color varies around a light blue, red, black and grey, they also have no hair. Much like humans, they have two eyes and their bodies can change to the environment and how well they're treated. Average Lifespan: 100 Years Average Height and Weight: Male Height- 6'7ft Tall / Female Height- 6'4ft tall (Aaand I'm not too good with weight- especially since muscle and fat comes into the equation. They're humans, just taller with hardened surfacing skin, so I guess that can give ideas.) Common Personality: Chekala are not different than humans in their variation of personalities, though they do have stereotypes of being "nature hunters"- give them five days in a jungle and they would have heaven worked out for them. Though, they can also be considered rather stubborn and hard to work with if you don't have something that goes along with them. BUT, they do all work towards a same goal with each other, though as varied as they are, it can be for their own reasons. Strengths: Hard working, cooperative with each other, they work well with nature and are effective hunters and warriors. Weaknesses: Lacking cooperation and empathy for those not of their kind, varied in personalities, manipulative, unpredictable for all the wrong reasons.

Equipment: N/A Role: Noble, subject of the politics going on with the Chekal.
Name: Zarola Mamoru Age: Twenty-Seven Gender: Female Appearance: A female Chekal, rather athletic build, she Clothing: A mix of clothing, cultural and diverse along with makeshift. Over the diverse cloth that she wears regularly, Zarola wears a leather jacket and a green, winter-purposed scarf. Equipment: A civilian hunting bow (This ain't a weapon on my opinion, but judge as it is.), Hunter's rifle, machete, compass and map. A small 'survival' backpack and a canteen. Along with two 7.62 mags for said rifle. Role: Hunter of the wildlife and a bit of a traveler/guide. A bit more neutral to the Chekal's stance on everything, a rather...distant, figure.

Freital's forces would move slowly into the city, fighting building to building in close-quarters bayonet and knife-fighting. Casualties on both sides would be heavy, with shells from the Panzer being a common sound impacting into buildings. Civilians would be evacuated out and into the city as the fighting moved further in. By April 13th, after a full day of fighting, Freital would begin to come out on top as Bad Backnag's forces began succumbing to exhaustion from the constant fighting. Machine-gun nests established by both sides would turn streets into killing-fields which were taken by Freital via blowing walls down with HE Shells or large amounts of explosives.
On April 14th at 1:15 in the morning, Bad Backnag would offer a cease-fire to negotiate surrender. Fighting in the city would cease with heavy casualties on both side. At 8:50 in the morning, Bad Backnag's surrender would be official. Terms would be the formation of a German Confederation which would have the member-states of Freital to begin, with Bad Backnag integrated into Freital outright. New states joining would have the Confederation be a decentralized state for mutual defense.

April 15th, 2532 Wednesday, 19:00
"I hate Wednesdays."
----------------------
The Chekals come into activity- or, at least, finally their colony is a noticeable thing. Soldiers prep up for recon, boots strapped on and weapons loaded, meanwhile the civilian life is that of a calm morning, or, at least those on the outskirts of familiar, populated areas. The Chekal's agriculture and hunting were very focused on, they always needed to make sure they had aplenty of food, surplus supplies in this case were not a uncommon thing. At least, in the situation of food and water, but the fact they were so focused on that, made their military seem rather disorganized, or at least, it was more like a militia due to it's nature of only being infantry.
Four teams with five soldiers each in them were sent outward to explore the surroundings, making sure there was nothing encroaching on their territory. They did not go farther than assigned, and would quickly return to their more civilized areas if nothing was to approach...And around 19:00 too, as if they just had a change in shifts.
Oh, but the people in their civilized 'areas' were all fine. They had to manage jobs and occupations you'd expect on such a frontier-ish world, nothing too massive for such a people and their number, nothing too complex, just always something to keep themselves stable and sustaining order within their borders. With luck, they wouldn't have to deal with anything massively annoying, that is, unless the weather or nature decided to become less cooperative and their skill set soon depleted of purpose!
---------------------
A arrow flew through the air- swiftly cutting into the flesh of a small creature, it's body pinning to the floor before the shadow of a Chekal covered it. Zarola looked down at the body, it wasn't very entertaining to see that everything you caught was always so small...Small didn't equal a good hunt, and a bad hunt didn't equal a good day. She took the arrow out of the corpse before picking it up, the fingerless gloves clearly made by some sort of native creature's skin. It wasn't hard to tell she was a hunter of sorts, I mean, when someone is covered in such strange clothing in the wild, you'd think they were born somewhere far from a 'normal' society!...Or, maybe not. Culture.
"And this is what I get for not travelling far from the damn cities." She thought, looking at the corpse in disappointment before tying it around her waist like the rest of the smaller animals, because selling the whole thing somehow made someone seem more effective, though that could have arisen from the culture's need to utilize everything within a creature. Whatever it was, she quickly turned about, moving back to sell whatever she had caught, the rest, to be used as food.
