Every town has urban legends. Lenoresfield is no different in that respect, whether it's the story of the Shrine of Aezir, or the real reason why Os Immortale shut itself down. There is however, one urban legend that is as old as the town itself. It's the Raven Lord. In the historical district of Lenoresfield, there's a burned out house at the top of a hill. It's called The House of 44 Ravens, and is called as such because of the 44 statues of ravens that adorn the various places around the property. The house was of course, as you probably guessed, home to a man obsessed with ravens. Each statue is said to represent a different raven he raised. The 44th raven was the last statue to be added to the estate and it's about the size of a man. That particular statue is called the Raven Lord, because it was the last statue placed just before the house burned. Many folks say that a giant raven flew from there, and I guess that's where the legend of the Raven Lord started.
Most of Lenoresfield treat the Raven Lord as a boogeyman. They tell their children to behave, elsewise the Raven Lord will come and snatch them into the dark and away, to gnaw on their bones.I know different. The Raven Lord only steals away naughty children to prevent them from falling under Aezir's sway. He's the silent guardian of the town's children. He takes the form of a raven to scare the Aezir. Though, it is said that he takes the form of a man too. He lives amongst the humans he protects. I know, for I saw him change one night when I was but a child back in 1962. It was Old Man Feind, of the Infamous Feind house.
