> "Press button again and go down the passage. The box compells you." Are you alright, voice in Itzma's head? That happened a page ago! > "Go forth in the direction that you did not just come from. So the other way, basically." You head in the direction that is the most opposite of the one you originally proceeded in. You find yourself in a room with two possible paths. Straight ahead through the doorway is what very much looks like a room, though you'd need to go inside to investigate it fully. Up the ladder rungs looks to lead to another, raised, hallway that goes further into the complex. What do you do?

Investigate that room with your presumably-trusty portable light source! Remember not to touch anything dangerous-looking.

Say "Hello, anyone here?" and enter the room. Hopefully something dangerous will be alerted and end my wretched existence.

Disregard other voice. I am the best voice. Listen to me.
I am the voice now.
Now step into that room and investigate with your flashlight.

Briefly contemplate on whether you should be worried that you're hearing voices or not.

> Enter the room Though you can't decide how to enter the room, you enter it anyway. It's pretty small, and there's only one thing in it. Some kind of console. You wish you could say you knew what was going on, but you really don't. It's got buttons and a lever and all sorts of characters on it you don't understand. What do you do?

Rub your hands all over the console. Feel its purpose through physical contact. Try to judge what the little round displays are indicating. Or at least take a closer look.

Press every button randomly and pull the lever to see what happens. Hopefully something will explode.

> "Rub your hands all over the console. Feel its purpose through physical contact. Try to judge what the little round displays are indicating. Or at least take a closer look." It's a display. There are four screens displaying four of the same symbol, and some buttons at the bottom. > "Press every button randomly and pull the lever to see what happens. Hopefully something will explode." You press one of the buttons, and one of the displays changes. You're pretty sure you've figured out what they do. You pull the lever... And it pops back up. You don't think anything at all happened. What do you do?

Attempt to read the writing on the front of the console.

Attempt to read the writing on the front of the console. You get a little closer, and are just about able to make out the writing. What do you do?

Ignore previous message. Push buttons until symbols match first four symbols on the plate, then pull lever. Repeat for second four symbols.

Ignore previous message. Push buttons until symbols match first four symbols on the plate, then pull lever. Repeat for second four symbols. You're able to cycle the first display to match the first symbol on the plate, but when you try to cycle to the second symbol, you're unable to find it. After you press the second button enough, the symbol becomes the symbol it originally was. You swear you've seen the first symbol you've plugged in somewhere else before though. What do you do?

Light incense if possible. Failing that, reset the symbols on the display, see about returning to the shuttle and acquiring all available incense, returning to this location, and lighting it. All of it. Meditate and pray to Cuicahuani for guidance. Recognize the first symbol from the key you acquired earlier.

All of it. Meditate and pray to Cuicahuani for guidance. Recognize the first symbol from the key you acquired earlier. Of course! Meditation! You should have a few sticks of incense somewhere on you... There's one. You found two others. You should probably save your supply for when you really need it in the future, a blend this stimulating is hard to come by. Luckily, most incense can ignite itself. All you have to do is scrape the tip against a rough surface... And start meditating! As the cloud expands, Cuicahuani guides your senses. There's a connection between the slip of paper you found, and the symbols on the panel on the console. You wonder what it could be? After the smoke and your senses clear, you stand up. What do you do?

Check the piece of paper. Looks like there's a symboil on it and four dots. Use the buttons to try to change all the symbols to match the one on the paper. Then...

You set all the displays to that certain symbol, and pull the lever. The lever snaps back up. Again, you don't think anything happened. What do you do?

Leave the room, climb up the ladder, and see what's on the upper floor. Clearly nothing productive's going to happen here while this machine's being uncooperative.

Kick the machine first. A little bit of percussive maintenance goes a long way.

Leave the room, climb up the ladder, and see what's on the upper floor. Clearly nothing productive's going to happen here while this machine's being uncooperative. Quickly growing tired of strange console antics, you leave the room and decide to take the ladder down the raised hallway. The ceiling here is a lot lower than what you've seen in the rest of the complex. In addition, the walls get increasingly worn the further the hall goes. What do you do?

Confirm that there is nothing ahead of you such as sliding walls that could cause such unsightly abrasion. The lever machine may well be a means of disarming a trap.

Confirm that there is nothing ahead of you such as sliding walls that could cause such unsightly abrasion. The lever machine may well be a means of disarming a trap. Making sure you won't get killed by whatever lurks further down the hall before you progress, you carefully press on. The grooves in the wall grow longer and more frequent, until the brick disappears altogether. The hall is long, and you spend a few minutes walking before you come upon anything of interest. It looks like the brick is back, around whatever that thing is. What do you do?
