The Eurydice is a flying relic of a past long gone, She was one of the first of her kind; Fully autonomous warships created as a witness to the glorious future to be claimed. Fitted with the most advanced computer systems and top of the line weapon systems she was indeed a testament to military might, She spent her entire maiden voyage on tour of the homelands to demonstrate her capabilities. During the trials of her maiden voyage though she was attacked, Her escort was just passing an outer rim system when a heavy mercenary fleet attacked with intentions of capture. The battle was fairly steady for both sides, the Eurydice held in reserve from the conflict itself to avoid unwarranted damage. The admiral in charge of her however finally took a hand in the situation once two additional fleets arrived to aid the mercenaries; This was the last time anyone would have control of the Eurydice.
In the panic over the rapidly turning situation the admiral released all safeguards on the Eurydice's AI and computer systems, The Eurydice was idle for only a few moments before its capabilities suddenly came to full effect. She went to full work obliterating the hostile fleet, eradicating vast swaths in mere minutes. The mercenaries and team were quick to begin a full retreat. The admiral seeing the situation in favor attempted to order the Eurydice to stand down; This is when a fatal flaw in the programming of the vessel was discovered.
The Eurydice received the protocol orders to stand down and determined it to be an electronic warfare attack, this in turn led to the admiral watching in horror as the Eurydice quickly demolished his own ship and his life with it. The Eurydice was quick to leave the scene after this show of force, the AI assuming itself to be in a situation of total war.
Since then the vessel has shown on occasion, appearing to a scene rather coincidentally as if chasing something. When no action is taken against the ship it will continue to search the area before vanishing as quickly as it appeared, hostile action of any form though brings swift death from the Eurydice.

The Shadow drive as it is often called is a very unusual piece of equipment, While the exact origins of the drive's development are unknown it's capabilities are nothing to scoff at. The speed of the drive is nothing remarkable, however it is utterly undetectable, slipping the ship outside the universe itself. The drive further remarks its capability with strange "Shadows" that will appear and fade in the space surrounding the ship, while completely harmless in most regards they create an unusual effect where energy weapons will "Bend" around them and as such often miss the ship behind the shadow.
