As the last of the Zealot forces holding the Palace were defeated, the IFFS and Arthan forces began forming a perimeter around the palace, a large number of squadrons would also be sent out to sweep the remainder of the city to ensure there weren't Zealot squadrons hiding in some of the buildings. A fair number would also be sent to help the Corrudians with helping civilians which might need rescuing or medical attention.

One side, which can readily be inferred to be the "[Far Star Ones]" and Latesi Interstellar, acts with machine precision and appears to employ a mix of carrier and missile battlecruisers, which avoid close engagement, supporting smaller, much more nimble plasma and missile attack destroyers which screen the warp jammers they're using to keep the other side from simply warping next to the "Engine of Providence" or their battlecruisers. Of the two, their shielding could be heaviest. The others, the ones transmitting, appear to use pulse-propelled vessels of widely varying size class that employ a standard mix of railguns and lasers. They simply try to overwhelm and smash the enemy where they can and break through the wall of warp jammers keeping them from the object of their desire.

Uncharted System.
Cracking this puzzle was going to take time and effort. The Task Force had a decent idea of the capabilities of each side, but they were not any closer to actually understanding the cryptics. Their inquiries and communiques were getting thicker and thicker by the minute, and the inability of the translator systems to ideally clean up the meaning was proving to be a severe barrier. To that end the Task Force did not immediately respond to the new incoming messages as they tried to process what they had, and what was coming in.

It won't be replacing Whipple shields as the only micrometeorite and vacuum medium protection, since the former are just spaced armour and therefore very cheap to mount, and Whipple shields don't fail when there is no power. But working together they should drastically increase a vessel's hull's operational lifespan. TURALANARAY, HORRA SURFACE (SEVEN HOURS BEFORE LIBERATION)Tal'Ryth are too large to fit through doorways built for Corrundians. This was learned back when the first expeditionary group made first contact with the Empire. What was then an annoyance is now a terrible handicap, preventing LAN troops from going into homes and offices to clear them of enemy combatants who shoot from windows before withdrawing. They are forced to use heavier weapons such as rocket propelled grenades just to take out snipers. Collateral damage will no doubt be high. Particularly tough holdouts of Zealot soldiers are met with Main Battle Tanks driving straight through walls to allow an assault. Its at this point when it becomes clear that the Zealots are furnished with anti-tank weaponry, and the active defences and explosive armour of the tanks are sorely tasked by them. Numerous armoured vehicles get mobility killed, bogging the advance down. The ability for Tal'Ryth to carry heavier weapons is all that keeps them from stalemating and stopping the advance. Meanwhile, shuttles begin ferrying Bandit Echo's compliment of heavy weapons down from its armoury to a stockpile at the LAN staging ground. Its hoped that they can be disseminated to local resistance forces when the opportunity presents itself. MantasKARDOT SYSTEM, KALIDAR FEDERATION TERRITORYOne of the Hunter-Killers sent out to scout borders comes across Kardot System, and its horrifyingly large space force. Not wanting to tangle with battleships, and having a different interpretation of her orders than some other commanders, the CO orders her crew to return to Manta space after they gather all the data they can get. Soon the vessel disappears, taking an evasive course home.

Lakaer gave a slight nod as he said "Don't get to enthusastic, it would reflect rather poorly on you to lose any vessels for this." Sikas drew her wings back to her sides before giving a slight nod, saying "Then sir, may I suggest we speed along this tour? Fredrin nodded, glancing at one of the Draian he said, "Drectavi, do you remember how much gold is worth currently?" Drectavi frowned, scratching behind one of her horns she said, "I think it was something like 20.4 credits per Girm* of pure gold last I checked." Pausing she added to Fisar, "I'm not sure how that would translate to your units, but I'm sure we can find some way of converting, though we'll probably need to base it off of an atomic count...."

Uncharted System.
Without sufficient time being granted to crack this puzzle, it seems further attempts to truly understand them would have to wait. For now the Task Force would have to make due with what it had, and continue to try and drive the point that communication simply wasn't going to work in this manner. Maybe going back to the plan of short, literal messages would help.

As I already know the issue of cross-border traffic will require extra attention, along with us establishing a proper exchange rate. -Ikara- "Ah, that will do nicely then" Fisar took the document to look at it for a few moments, continuing while staring at it "Hmm, I do have one final thing on mind that should likely be covered. Corporations within our space usually deal with rather limited regulations, and usually take to wide ranging activities...often with many smaller corporations for handling the finer details. As such I feel we may want to discuss regulations regarding interactivity of corporations in our economy beyond simple trade, if we chose to permit such activities at first. Her body language showed she was quite surprised. "There are civilisations between the clusters?" she said, then continued more quietly: "Our long range telescopes didn't detect anything there. A lot of activity in Verion, but nothing closer." TURALANARAY, HORRA SURFACE (FIVE HOURS BEFORE LIBERATION)Making its way further towards the centre of the city, the LAN force finds that the roads are narrowing as the buildings and streets get older and older. The fight gets much tougher as the MBTs are forced to hang back and try to find some other way. The houses themselves become increasingly cramped quarters to fight in even when the troops are able to access them. In reaction to this, the commanding officer of the Empire's Lunar Guards is brought to the MOC general in charge of the LAN's part of the offensive. He is queried about whether the Guard can be brought forward to clear the houses, and if so, what proportion. Commandant Verta explained that many should be kept at the base to continue assisting with the camp survivors, but the remainder will be made available. The general accepted this, and orders that enough IFVs to carry the Corrundians return to base to pick them up. MantasINDUSTRYAn Outland 2-B station is completed, bringing the number of cruiser spaceyards in the system up to 40. When the Hunter-Killer from Kardot arrives, it is ordered to proceed to this station for subspace communication refits. While that work is carried out, the spaceglider commander will be debriefed in order to learn why they returned so early. With warp drive, this doesn't take long, and the commander is soon speaking with their superior. She provides the sensor data that was gathered, whilst explaining that the system is very heavily defended. She makes no suggestions for what should be done about it.

The vast station's AI comments "Elaborate on this force. All transits through this region have been accompanied by authorized craft according to my logs. No communications were received from them or explanation was given on their utilization of an experimental drive, or for the cause of total silence from command for over a century now. The probes are all approximately a light year from here from what my sensors see. Their internals are all fried. As for the Argus station, while it's good to see that it is still intact, there is typically cause for one of our AI Cores to reinforce to that degree." while optical scopes start revealing the rest of the station's structure. They aren't even in a particularly low orbit and the 'perimeter' starbase still fills up almost the entire view of the camera suite; the rest of the station isn't any less well armed, in fact, the sides hidden under the cap that they had appeared over reveal a terrifyingly large array of weaponry, many of which are larger than the Nalsim itself!

The assault of the remaining marines seems impossibly uncoordinated compared to the defense they had put up to keep the Midyan marines back in the first place - just how reliant were they on the commanders for their instructions anyway? Multiple groups of the Khaersite forces are easily surrounded and gunned down by the Midyans, though they still try to put up a fight with a grenade or two while they fall. The ones that seem to realize there is more to an assault or retreat than running as fast as they can try to dive into cover when they're cut off, trying to return fire on the suppressing position with unaimed fire around a corner. The effort of the priests goes very much noticed by their subordinates however, with clear panic starting to spread amongst the remaining forces. Some coordination returns to what's left of the Khaersite marines after a while of being run around by the marine squads, now trying to retake the CIC after a few groups split off to drag some manpower away from the corridor leading up to it. They open their siege on the CIC to retake the ground with a single soldier darting out to try flinging a grenade into the room to shake up defenders - and then unleash a storm of suppressive fire.

Mekvaris takes no time to continue, paying no mind to the clear and substantial surprise of its listener "Verion's heart has always been far more lively than its anti-spinward rim. Most civilizations were just on the cusp of FTL last I saw, but there are some more notable powers. My logs on the sector survey are corrupt however, so I can't give any location data."

Irsarn paused for a moment before turning to one of his communications operators "If we've got the recordings from the attack at Kushar, I believe this is a reasonable time to share them..." With that he turned his attention back to the AI by continuing "As far as we know and understand, there is a large power that is situated somewhere in this direction. They appear to of taken some sort of radical ideology that spurred them to assault the Verion cluster. What I'm aware of is that they've attempted to attack homeworlds of multiple people, having a small high speed scout, shortly followed by a massive fleet appearing on top of it." Irsarn just waited for a moment for communications to get the stream of the recording going properly before adding"This force has been thwarted thus far at all locations it struck, despite the rather massive flotilla's sent, that is save one place. Horra. Where rather unprecedented numbers were recorded." Irsarn took a few moments to think before saying "If there has been authorized terran vessels traveling around though, I'd very much be interested to know. Currently we've seen no terran activity outside of the aforementioned...Argus? Station. I do know that for us at least, there appears to be some sort of effect dampening our long range sensors. "Agreed," Fredrin said folding his arms, "we do something along those lines with our colonies to protect fledgling industries from already established companies and to encourage local development. But on an international scale we may have to impose an office to regulate the different companies that may invest across the border, so to speak, though actually regulating the ties they form may be a bit more complicated, a set of guidelines will likely have to be formed."

Medics rushed to provide aid, using field nanomachine applicators and making sure they were set to the right species before insertion. The war machine rolled on, leaving the hurt and their carers behind friendly lines. With the Lunar Guards providing an assault force, the LAN contingent was gaining momentum. In order to avoid losing it when the streets became too narrow for the IFVs, a restricted orbital bombardment is called in. Buildings with known concentrations of enemy forces are levelled, as are ones with no inhabitants, to create paths leading towards the palace. The Main Battle Tanks are recalled from their attempt to circle around, as this will open up ways for them to get to the front without putting them far out of position. MantasINDUSTRYThe Hunter-Killer docks with the new spaceyard to begin the subspace comms refit. Spaceglider Commander Kannika handed command to her first officer, before disembarking from the vessel. It was a short shuttle ride to another station. After proceeding to her superior's office, she announced her presence and waited. The Squadron Commander called her in. Since the reconnaissance mission was occurring with the Nightmares acting as singletons, there was no need for someone to lead the squadron, so her superior had remained in the system. "Reporting as ordered, Sir," she said crisply, and her CO gestured for her to take a seat. At his direction, she laid out what had happened in Kardot while using a work slate to run through the most important details. Anything else would go to analysis, she didn't need to bore the squadron leader with it. Finally she reached the end of her debrief. Squadron Commander Tan'Zax asked her a few questions, which she answered, before he dismissed her. "Good work," he said. "I appreciate an officer who can follow orders."

-Ikara- Fisar just gave a slight nod, "Sounds reasonable, the only issue may be ensuring impartial regulation in that regard. I do realize that we may also have potential issues in regards to copyright, patents, and otherwise intellectual property. Statistically speaking, even with differences in culture, I'm fairly sure we'll have some works that may be remarked similar or in some cases, just racial variations of the same technology. This is actually something we probably should of covered in initial discussions on trade goods, given corporations on our end would be very much displeased if their designs were taken from them or otherwise unprotected in your territory." -Que- >Construction 2x Ta'Malr Farseer Platforms (90/175) 1x Ta'Malr Farseer Platform (36/175) 55x Black Sky Pattern Mining Outpost (12/45) 12x Tek'Harl Platforms (5/50) >Shipyards 30x Mak'Vara IV (12/51) [15 standard shipyards, 15 battleship shipyards] >Research Torpedo Design (31/45) Powered Armor units (21/30)

Horra. Approximately two to three hours before Liberation.
A contingent of the Lunar Guards Battalion on the move with their sweep-and-clear of the occupied homes, businesses and structures. Eventually it would be the Guards who would raise the banner above the ruins of the Imperial palace, but for now they were dedicated to exterminating every pesky Zealot they could get their sights on -- a task they could indeed perform with efficiency as the lunar domes were arguably even more cramped quarters than any planetary atmosphere. With the League behind them, and the people rallied there would be nowhere for the enemy to hide.
The Liberation at hand.
Once the Coalition's armaments arrived in the hands of the eager, it would be the death sentence for any remaining occupation forces across the planet. Since the Zealot command was terminated even the completely improvised sort of force that was being deployed on a wide scale would prove effective.
Horra Orbit.
Marshal Shazirath and his command crews were too engrossed in their impending victory to realize that one, it was, in fact, won, and two, that there were inbound communiques, for example the one the Ra-noth had sent some time ago that ended up completely ignored.
One thing was certain however, and that was the Coalition's command needed to come together and take care of business. The best site deemed to conduct such matters on behalf of the Emperor was none other than the ruins of his once beautiful Imperial Palace. All parties would be informed and the necessary arrangements would need to be made for transit.

Fredrin nodded, his mouth tightening slightly, "That would cause quite a few issues..." he said, shaking his head he looked to Olian, "I don't know if there is an easy solution, we might be able to prevent many of the potential problems if we have our copyright databases for comparison at any trade checkpoints." Olian nodded as Fredrin spoke, before saying himself, "Possibly some kind of tariff on goods attempting to be traded that are too similar to copyrights in the other nation."

-Ka'Sorin Forces- Hasrak would just give a slight acknowledgement to the corrundians alert, grumbling a little before giving orders "Get a dropship prepped, and make sure the troops on the ground are well prepared to ensure there's no surprises at the palace." himself heading off to the dropship hangers to prepare for the journey planetside, given the corrundians apparently wanted to handle things in person on the ground. -Ikara- Fisar just shook his head slightly "Tariffs would only partly solve a symptom of a problem, I personally imagine one of the more major problems would be someone attempting to take copyright of an IP that is protected in the other border. After all...even with copyright laws it's not unheard of for someone just making something marginally similar just to spark of copyright conflict." Fisar just tilted his head slightly before suggesting "We may need to create some sort of special regulations for the movement of intellectual property between each other, along with perhaps some method for corporations to protect their property across boarders should it be stolen in some form." -Que- >Construction 2x Ta'Malr Farseer Platforms (91/175) 1x Ta'Malr Farseer Platform (37/175) 55x Black Sky Pattern Mining Outpost (13/45) 12x Tek'Harl Platforms (6/50) >Shipyards 30x Mak'Vara IV (13/51) [15 standard shipyards, 15 battleship shipyards] >Research Torpedo Design (32/45) Powered Armor units (22/30)

Horra.
Hasrak's short acknowledgement was not one what Marshal Shazirath would receive. He, like his counterpart was also in transit to the ruins of the Imperial Palace. Commandant Verta and some of the Lunar Guards troops would be awaiting everyone, all the while making their own preparations. The Guards present were some of the finest in the unit. Given how the enemy had already been thoroughly crushed and the populace mobilized, the risk of anyone getting a sudden surprise was minimal.

One Groundforce soldier gets a nasty surprise, as a broken-winged Corrundian gets defenestrated by the Zealot adversaries and lands on them. Medics come forth to provide aid to both the crushed soldier and the unfortunate civilian. The army advances further, with two anti-air vehicles spotted by ARVs. The MBTs surge ahead, and a squadron manages to destroy the offending missile launches before they can reposition. The IFFS and IAR are informed that the LAN's sector of the city now has a clear path for their corvettes to pass through. Finally, they come across the shield around the palace. The battlehovercraft are called to the front, and once they arrive, bring their massive coilguns to bear. They open fire around the time that the IAR and IFFS corvettes move into position. MantasHKZ-008 RELENTLESS, ÆO AURUThe enemy cruisers were now less than 3,000KM away, the furthest point out at which they were at all likely to score hits on Relentless with their gauss weapons. The Manta vessel's own spinal laser was well within its effective range, but the enemy had been making efforts to not be hit by it now that its lethality was clear, and the cruisers armour was at least four times as thick. There was no chance of taking out their engines thanks to their position at the rear of the craft, so a closing confrontation was almost inevitable. The only question was whether they would break off now that they were beginning to receive the full force of the laser's output, whether the targeted cruiser would get cored like a seeded fruit, or if Relentless would be forced to activate its FTL drive. Or if they get lucky and we're destroyed, Cara'Fal admitted in his thoughts. Suddenly, he was thrown around in his seat, and a new alert came up on his damage control repeater - Warp ring disabled. As he took that in, it updated. Time to repair, 2 hours (after combat). That sealed it. Fight or die.

Horra.
Without incident, Marshal Shazirath's landing craft touches down near the palatial ruins. His own detachment of marines syncs up with Lunar Guards forces and will provide additional security detail. The Marshal himself stands with Commandant Verta among the ruins. The two officers take to surveying what's left, mostly a pile of stone rubble, as a means to waste time waiting for the Coalition's reps to make it. Besides the obvious death by Zealots that would have awaited him, the two men conclude that the Emperor wouldn't want to live in this mess that was made of his home. So much ornate beauty and so much traditional fortification. A shame it couldn't hold up against modern weapons.

->Bridge of the [Justicar]<- Things were looking grim in the forward compartments. Temperatures were rising sharply at the focus point of the enemy weapon and the hull was growing thinner at an alarming rate. Sensor readouts had confirmed significant debris sprays from the enemy ship, but that damned ray continued to shine, so there was little worth celebrating for the moment. The bridge crew nervously kept an eye at the diagnostic readouts from the ship. Advisor Eoheo glanced at the Admiral-ei, expectantly. He surely doesn't expect us to survive if he doesn't break off the attack, he thought. Vacuum breach on deck 15. on 21. on 16 and 19. on 20, 17, and 22. Bulkhead breach warnings worked their way inward. Fear and anxiety flared. The Admiral gripped the railing more tightly, slowly contorting further as his body struggled to express the rage that built within him.
"Break to port," Orii whispered. Silence and disbelief reigned for a few more moments before palpable relief flooded the room. Shaky fingers grasped the handset for the Radio. "Oiouhouru, Admiral Orii. Kill the hostile at any cost." He didn't wait for a response before kicking off and heading for the tubes at the back of the battle bridge, most likely retreating to his quarters. As assigned relief captain, Eoheo positioned himself at the captain's station and took command of the vessel.
[Justicar] turns 90 degrees to port and engages 2g thrust. Oiouhouru pulls to starboard to show an oblique of her port facing to the Relentless. What remains healthy of the Destroyer force is attempting to close the door, 15,000km and accelerating at 1.2g.
